I recently visited Au Chocolat at MBS. MBS is really huge, complete with designer and branded shops, each consuming a fair amount of floor space.
Which means, getting sort of lost and having to walk a huge distance to get to Au Chocolat.
Look at it’s brilliant exterior.
When a shop is well-furnished, it almost immediately gets into my good books. Unless it’s food or service lets it down.
The whole diner was HUGE, spanning a few shop spaces with different sections. Each section specializing in different things. There was one section for breads and takeaway sandwiches, one for ice cream, one for chocolates and pralines, and another where all the cakes and desserts sit ever so prettily in their sparkling glass displays.
I made a reservation. But this comfy area wasn’t reserved for us sadly. ):
Another plus point. Pretty menus. Front page appeals to people like me who adore cute things. :B
We desperately needed something cold and sweet to cool us down from the rather insane heat. Thus the frozen hot chocolate makes its appearance on our brown-tiled table.
12 bucks for a non-alcoholic drink is really no cheap stuff.
But it was good. Baby, it was.
It is essentially ice blended hot chocolate. BUT. The ice was so finely crushed and the chocolate so divine~~ (trails off)
ALSO, EVEN,
the whip cream was sooo smooth and light on the tongue. And finally finished off with a generous drizzle of chocolate sauce. As cliche as it sounds, it’s sinful yet delicious.
sorry for the finger. Probably too excited to dig in. Haha.
What you’ve been waiting to see right?
Our order of Au Chocolat Benedict under their All-Day Breakfast menu with two fat, HUGE, poached eggs sitting on 2 strips of bacon each, spinach, a slice of tomato and an english muffin half. Then and finally smothered in their dark chocolate and red wine infused hollandaise sauce.
LIKE WHUTTTT.
(composes self)
To be honest, it wasn’t the sauce that wow-ed me. It was the whole set up of perfectly poached eggs completely with what tasted like a garlic rubbed/spread – muffin. If they really did that, i must say it was a really nice touch to tinge the dish with a garlicky taste. More depth to the dish in my honest opinion.
hahahhaa.
Yours truly’s.
On the table.
Our initial order of their Creamy Mushroom and Chicken Savory Crepe was unavailable (sadly), so we changed our order to the Parma Ham one.
It came with a chuck load of rocket leaves, finely shaved cheese, cherry tomatoes, walnuts, strips of parma ham, and a few slices of rock melon sitting on a carpet of soft crepe.
As you have already seen, it’s practically a garden on this thing.
Oh, it was a delicious garden.
And oh, it was finished with Au Chocolat’s signature and unique chocolate balsamic vinaigrette.
Was sitting near the outside. Look at how they section their shops, just makes the whole dining experience more unusual and refreshing. What with the golden and red velvet chain sleeves separating walking space and shop space.
A toy like train going around the tracks on the ceiling. I swear both us looked like idiots waiting for the train to turn round our corner and snapping a shot.
More pictures below. Because who doesn’t love pictures?
WATER IS FREE BY THE WAY.
And this ends my spam of pictures and my trip to Au Chocolat.
Au Revoir, oh my chocolate.
oh by the way, their menu link’s here > AU CHOCOLAT MENU (has since been altered slightly)
You’re welcome.

Here are all the best things to do this weekend in Singapore.
Just an hour away from KL!
Taichung is only an hour by High Speed Rail from Taipei or Taoyuan station.
No more stressing over what to get your loved ones for Christmas.
Gone are the days when family photoshoots used to be boring and extra formal.
Meet new-to-Singapore species as well.
