Whether you’ve grown up with that yellow electric mouse or the moustached plumber in overalls, I’m sure everyone can recognise some of Nintendo’s classic characters. You may even have merch of your faves.
Well, I’ve got news for you. Come November, you’ll get to bump into them once more at the Nintendo pop-up store in Jewel Changi.
A sneak-peek of what the Singapore pop-up may look like; this one was stationed in Japan.

The Nintendo pop-up will be the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. Fans can head to level 4 of Jewel Changi from 17th November 2023 to 1st January 2024 to check it out. Also, you don’t need admission tickets, so just add it to your list of free things to do at Changi Airport.
Look out for special merch that depicts Mario emblematically leading the way for his fellow characters.

The pop-up will be filled with goodies from Nintendo’s beloved franchises. You can expect to see merch from Super Mario, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, and The Legend of Zelda. We’ve yet to spot any from Pokémon, but do keep tabs on the pop-up’s official site for any news of Pikachu and friends.
You’ll also be able to walk away with exclusive postcards, once again fronted by Mario and company. Flip the postcards over to reveal some of some of Singapore’s iconic landmarks on the back, such as Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, and Merlion Park.
Simply spend $80 or more in a single transaction at the pop-up and you’ll receive 1 out of 6 limited edition postcards. It’s available on a first-come-first-served basis, so don’t sleep on it.
There are 18 sticker designs in total; come with a friend or 2 for more tries to get the ones you want.

Stickers will also be given out to shoppers who check into their Nintendo accounts by scanning a QR code provided on site. The designs are given out at random – if you didn’t get the design you’ve set your sights on, come back another time as each person is limited to 1 check-in per day.
I don’t know about you but the mushroom salt and pepper shakers are a need, not a want.

If you’ve visited Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan, you’ll know how adorable their souvenirs can get. Some of the Japan-exclusive merch will be available at the Singapore pop-up, so do take the chance to snag them while they’re here.
