The New Singapore Cruise Centre Opens In July – Here’s Everything We Know So Far

New Singapore Cruise Centre

ICYMI, it was announced last year that HarbourFront Centre would be closing down in the second half of 2026. With that comes the end of its run housing the HarbourFront Ferry Terminal; but with the close of any chapter comes the dawn of a new one – here in the form of the new Singapore Cruise Centre.

With the news just in that the new Singapore Cruise Centre is starting operations in July, we’ve rounded up everything that’s been released so far, so that now you can say, “I also know,” too:

Moving in 2 phases

The first phase of the move from HarbourFront Centre to the new Singapore Cruise Centre will take place on 7th July 2026, with Batam Fast Ferry being the first operator to commence operations from the spanking new terminus.

A week later, on 15th July 2026, all other ferry and cruise operators will be relocated to the new building. This includes Horizon Fast Ferry, Majestic Fast Ferry, Sindo Ferry and Indo Falcon Shipping & Travel.

Don’t worry about any changes in schedules, routes, or sailing destinations: everything will carry on as it always has, albeit from a brand new location. In other words, you’ll still be able to hop on a ferry to Batam, Harbour Bay, Sekupang, Tanjung Balai, Gold Coast and Nirup Island.

Even the berth locations remain status quo.

Just 70m from the existing terminal

Muscle memory won’t fail you either if you’re a long-time cruiser or ferry passenger, because you won’t find yourself on the wrong end of Singapore after the terminal has completed its move.

The entire distance which the ferry terminal has moved, from HarbourFront Centre to the new Singapore Cruise Centre, is a grand total of just 70m.

There’s no way you’ll miss it, because it’s a standalone terracotta red building, right opposite the entrance of The Reef at King’s Dock condominium, and behind HarbourFront Tower 2.

New tech & amenities

Current terminal inside HarbourFront Centre.

The current international ferry terminal has been operating out of HarbourFront Centre since 1992. The building itself was last renovated in 2003, prior to which it was the World Trade Centre that was built in 1978.

All in all, it’s nigh time for a brand new chapter – complete with upgraded infrastructure, new, tech-enabled services, and better amenities to serve passengers.

Further details will be released at its official opening later this year, but we hear there will definitely be F&B offerings and money changers, for starters.

How to get to the new cruise centre?

We admit, it’ll be just the littlest bit more of a trek from HarbourFront MRT Station after the move, since the new Singapore Cruise Centre is not directly linked to the station.

However, you can still get there from Exit B of the station, after which sheltered walkways will take you to the cruise terminal. There are also sheltered walkways between the terminal and VivoCity.

Set sail from the new Singapore Cruise Centre in July

There’s still time to head to HarbourFront Centre for one last hurrah if you’ll miss setting off on your ferry or cruise journeys from the old building. Stay tuned for more updates as we get more info on what’s available at the new Singapore Cruise Centre.
