There’s A Free Stamp Rally & Cute Photo Ops At The National Museum Of Singapore This October

National Museum of Singapore’s 138th anniversary celebrations

If you’ve already collected your fair share of stamps from the SBS SG60 Fun Discovery Trail, here’s another one to add to your list. The National Museum of Singapore is celebrating its 138th anniversary with a free stamp rally and Halloween-themed photo spots.

The Stamp Rally Adventure is happening from now till 26th October 2025, and it’s your chance to explore the National Museum of Singapore in a fun, hands-on way.

All you have to do is hunt down 4 stamping booths across the museum’s exhibitions, and once you’ve collected all the stamps, you’ll get to redeem an adorable koel plush bag charm designed by local artist Ven, known for their cute illustrations.

To take part, grab a stamp rally card from the Information Booth on Level 2. There are 2 designs to collect – a Daytime version available till 18th October, and a Nighttime version from 19th to 26th October. You might also find some cards at the stamping stations themselves, but those are while stocks last.

Then, follow the clues printed on your card to track down the 4 stamping locations. We won’t spoil the fun by giving them all away, but if you need a little help, you can find the list on the National Museum of Singapore’s website.

Admission to exhibitions at the museum is free for Singaporeans and PRs, while visitors can enjoy free entry on 20th October 2025 during the museum’s Open House.

Once you’ve collected all 4 stamps, return to the Information Booth on Level 2 to claim your prize – the koel bag charm, inspired by the cheeky “uwu bird” that’s famous or infamous for its early-morning wake-up calls.

You’re free to collect the stamps anytime, but redemptions are only open on Saturdays and Sundays – 18th-19th October and 25th-26th October – and limited to the first 350 participants each weekend. Take note: only completed Nighttime stamping cards will be accepted from 19th October onwards.

Don’t leave without checking out the Spooky Cute Photo Opportunity on Level 2. You’ll find illustrations of the koel and its friends – moonrat, mangrove snake, and grey-cheeked flying squirrel – reimagined with a spooky twist and set against daytime and nighttime backdrops.

The setup even comes with mirrors cleverly placed to capture the museum’s iconic architecture in your shots.

Mindfulness at the Museum: Letters Through Time

And if you have some time to spare on 18th October 2025 from 2pm to 3.30pm, consider taking part in the Mindfulness at the Museum: Letters Through Time workshop ($75/pax). You’ll get to pen a letter to a loved one and seal it with wax, just like in the old days.

It’s a thoughtful way to reflect on your own relationships and milestones, while honouring the National Museum of Singapore’s heritage on its 138th anniversary. You’ll also get to bring home a wax seal set as a keepsake.

Register for Mindfulness at the Museum: Letters Through Time.
