Marie Kondo may have kickstarted the trend but you’ve gotta admit, minimalism is here to stay. Say you live and breathe the white + light wood home aesthetic and love your outfits basic – no judgement from us. If so, you’ll be remiss if you don’t swing by MUJI’s limited-time exhibition on Nassim Road.
Happening from now till 27th July 2022 only, A walk in the forest of verbs with “MUJI IS” is a free exhibition featuring a zen, forest-inspired space featuring the brand’s products and ethos.

There have been plenty of exhibitions in Singapore from i Light Singapore to Off / On at the National Museum featuring bright neon lights and colourful installations. We love them all, but if what you’re looking for is a calming, zen space to step into after work or over the weekend, look no further than MUJI’s latest exhibit.

First held at ATELIER MUJI GINZA in Japan, the exhibition is making its first international debut in Singapore. Enter the pop-up space in Japan Creative Centre to wander among a “forest” of tree-like structures, conceptualised after verbs selected from their “MUJI IS” book.

Take a peek into the holes of barebone “trunks” to spot MUJI products ranging from umbrellas and chairs to tissue paper and travel toiletry bags.

At the back of the room, fans can also take a closer look at a satisfyingly organised timeline of the brand’s history, from the 1980s to today.

We’re always looking for the latest, most exhilarating thing to do but fun activities don’t always need to involve a big expenditure or Vitamin D-permeating day outdoors. Visit A walk in the forest of verbs with “MUJI IS” for a relaxing library-like afternoon that costs zero dollars.
