Montage 2014 Photography Competition – Finding Beauty in Everyday Life

The Montage 2014 Photography Competition

Every year, The NUS Photographic Society holds a nationwide photography competition. The theme for this year’s Montage is “Kaleidoscope: The Observation of Beautiful Forms”, which encourages participants to examine their everyday lives from a different perspective, in order to see beauty in all their surroundings, no matter how ordinary.

The tagline for the event is “I see beauty in…” and the hashtag on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook is #canyouseeit.

The Montage contest garners up to 1,500 entries every year. This year’s competition is open until 30th June, and anyone residing in Singapore during the competition period is eligible. Of course, it’s all public – you don’t have to be an NUS student to join!

About Montage 2014

The Photographic Society of NUS (NUSPS) consists of individuals who are extremely passionate about photography. The annual Montage festival is run entirely by their management committee.

For the Montage 2014 festival, NUSPS will be inviting industry experts to conduct weekly interactive seminars and workshops. Prominent photographers and photojournalists will be in attendance, alongside enthusiasts from Lumiere Photography, The Singapore Association for the Deaf, and more!

This week’s events include a seminar by The Wedding Photography Network. NUSPS is also hosting a seminar on Setting up the Business by Lumiere Photography. Check out the website for more details!
