Little India Bus Terminal Soon To Have Pickleball Facilities, Opening In 2026

Little India Bus Terminal pickleball courts

It’s an understatement to say that pickleball has taken Singapore by storm. And while there are plenty of pickleball courts in every corner of our island, one more was just recently announced: the Little India Bus Terminal’s sheltered waiting area will be retrofitted into a pickleball hub.

For a while now, the Little India Bus Terminal only sees action on Sundays when migrant workers get dropped off and picked up to and from their dormitories. The rest of the week? It sits vacant, gathering dust till the next Sunday rolls around. Come early 2026, the terminal will see a flurry of activity all 7 days of the week when it gets transformed into a pickleball hub.

The pickleball hub will have 8 sheltered courts for paddlers to book from Monday to Saturday, after which, on Sundays, it’ll revert to its original duty of being a bus terminal. Renovations will commence in November to lay down a new coating for the floor and install some nets around the terminal.

This initiative was championed by Alvin Tan, MP of Moulmein-Cairnhill, as his residents had been asking for more pickleball courts to be built around their neighbourhood. Together with SportSG and LTA, they found the Little India Bus Terminal and its underutilised potential.

When the pickleball hub at Little India finally opens in 2026, you can book the courts via the MyActiveSG+ app using your ActiveSG credits.

Play pickleball at the Little India Bus Terminal in 2026

It’s not easy to find space to build more pickleball courts, especially on our tiny island with a growing pickleball community. One way to cater to the demand is to find underutilised spaces like the Little India Bus Terminal. If you can’t wait till 2026, there are plenty of other pickleball courts you can book right now for play.
