Nature enthusiasts and casual visitors, you now have a fresh reason to visit Labrador Nature Park with the opening of the Keppel Coastal Trail. Stretching 340m, this scenic boardwalk takes you along the coastline and through a restored coastal forest, offering serene views and a chance to reconnect with nature.
Getting to Keppel Coastal Trail is pretty easy as it’s located just a 15-minute walk away from Labrador Park MRT station. For those driving over, we suggest you park at Labrador Park Car Park 1 as it’s the nearest one to the trail, which starts at the Pillbox Plaza and ends near Rock Tower, though you can choose to start from either end.
Nestled in a quieter section of the park, the Keppel Coastal Trail offers a tranquil escape for anyone seeking a breather. This trail connects Labrador Nature Reserve to the jetty at the park’s southern end.

From the boardwalk, you can enjoy unblocked panoramic views of the waters, including stunning sunsets, passing ships, and even glimpses of offshore islands like Pulau Bukom.
As you stroll along, you’ll encounter a wide array of flora and fauna, with signs throughout the path highlighting what you might spot. Look out for coastal biodiversity like the Plantain Squirrel, Sea Mango, and Malayan Whip Snake.
The elevated boardwalk, standing 1.5m above the ground, is thoughtfully designed to accommodate rising sea levels while remaining fully accessible, with barrier-free ramps for wheelchair users.

Keep an eye on the skies and trees throughout your journey. The trail is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, with opportunities to spot White-bellied Sea Eagles or migratory birds like the Yellow-rumped Flycatcher, especially during peak migration periods from March to April and August to November.
Beyond the boardwalk, you can also explore a 250m-long rustic path featuring swales – natural drainage systems that also serve as habitats for wildlife. Built in collaboration with youths from NParks’ Youth Stewards for Nature programme, this path combines ecological function with aesthetic elements.
If you’re up for a longer stroll, you can try out the Southern Ridges hiking trail which is a 10km path linking Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park, HortPark, Kent Ridge Park, and Labrador Nature Reserve.
This new trail is another step towards Singapore’s vision of becoming a City in Nature, blending modern development with ecological conservation. Whether you’re in the mood for a peaceful walk, hoping to spot some wildlife, or simply looking to soak in scenic coastal views, the Keppel Coastal Trail has something for everyone.
From the elevated vantage point of the boardwalk, you’ll witness the sparkling waters surrounding Singapore and the lush greenery of the park’s coastal habitat, making it a feast for the senses.
