This Australian Uni Lets SG-Based Students Spend 8 Months Abroad And Pay In SGD

Experience overseas uni life at James Cook University

Studying abroad is a once-in-a-lifetime experience – aside from experiencing how classes are conducted in a different education system, you’ll also gain the invaluable chance of making friends from different cultures, and exploring new places you otherwise never would. Cue the wave of major FOMO each time I see my friends’ social media posts about their overseas uni lives.

But being based in a foreign land for extended periods isn’t for everyone – it’s not always easy adapting to a different culture and dealing with constant homesickness. Fortunately for those who want the best of both worlds, James Cook University’s Inter-campus Mobility Program allows Singapore-based students to experience life at JCU’s Townsville and Cairns campuses for up to 2 semesters (8 months).

Find out more at JCU’s Open House on 20 May 2017

James Cook University is holding an open house on 20th May 2017 where you can learn more about the courses available, such as Business & IT, Psychology, and Education & Counselling – and learn about how you can seize the opportunity to have a taste of overseas education without being away from home too long.

Plus, school fees under the Inter-campus Mobility Program treat Singaporeans as “local” students, meaning you’ll pay the same fees as in Singapore, with no exchange rate woes.

The friendly staff on-site will help with queries regarding entry requirements and admission processes, and you’ll also get to find out about the various career support services available to students.

You can also look forward to a range of run activities – such as an Australian BBQ, Games Museum Display, and a glimpse into the Clubs & Societies that you can join to make your uni life an even more holistic and fun-filled one.
