If you’re currently in the midst of a home makeover, consider swinging by Gardens by the Bay. No, we’re not suggesting that you start picking out tulips and orchids at the Flower Dome – instead, pay a visit to the IMBA Stacked Store.
Originally an online home decor store with a lone showroom along Alexandra Road, they’ve just opened their first physical outlet within the Gardens, and will serve as the IMBA Theatre’s gift shop. From home finds that are charmingly maximalist to a rotation of merch that’s inspired by ongoing exhibitions, here’s what you can expect.
The IMBA Stacked Store is located right at the IMBA Theatre in Gardens by the Bay, which is located at the West Lawn of the Gardens.
The quickest way to get here via public transport is to take the train on the Circle or Downtown Line and alight at Bayfront MRT station. Afterwards, the IMBA Stacked Store is just a short walk away; simply follow the directions provided by the store themselves in the video above.
If you’ve opted to drive or ride to IMBA Stacked Store, the nearest car park is the Bayfront Plaza open-air car park, which has the following rates:
Once you’ve stepped through the IMBA Stacked Store’s doors, you’ll understand why they’ve gained a cult following ever since launching their online store in 2022. Their shelves are lined with tons of quirky home decor to inject personality into your living space, all curated from a wide range of international brands.
Over at the makeshift flower stand, you’ll be able to have a gander at pretty vases that house “emotional support flowers” made out of fabrics, which are great for the most inept of gardeners. Back to the vases, they come in all sorts of designs- some to look out for include ones that take after flowers, hot sauce bottles, and fruits.
You can also stock up on funky, yet functional utensils such as cups that stack to form various animals, shark-shaped oven mittens, cat and dog-themed salt and pepper shakers. Apparel’s aplenty in the store too; we spotted banana claw clips, as well as adorable, food-themed socks from Barcelona-based boutique brand Eat My Socks.
Also, keep an eye out for exclusive merch that reflect the current exhibitions at the IMBA Theatre. Right now, umbrellas and tote bags inspired by the Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away) and Botero: A Life in Fullness exhibitions respectively are just some of the goodies you can bring home as mementos.
If you’ve got a trip to Gardens by the Bay lined up to catch the ongoing exhibitions at IMBA Theatre or the Flower Dome’s Sakura 2026, don’t forget to make a quick stop at the new IMBA Stacked Store. Who knows, browsing their eccentric wares just might be the highlight of your visit.
