An hour for lunch might seem like lots of time for a leisurely meal and a bit of a catch-up sesh with your colleagues. But after deciding which food court to go to, walking there, queuing up, and walking back to the office, you find yourself with a paltry 15 minutes left for lunch – and you just can’t eat a piping hot bowl of laksa that quickly.
Lucky for us, honestbee just launched its on-demand hawker food delivery service in the CBD on weekdays from 11am to 2pm – meaning you can order early and have hawker fare delivered to your office just in time for lunch.
We used this service and got the best food from Amoy Street Food Centre for lunch! (Clockwise from left: Simply Fruit Juice, Da Mu Zhi, Ah Heng Curry Chicken Bee Hoon Mee, Warong Adelia, Ma Bo Lor Mee, Ji Ji Wanton Noodle Specialist. Centre: Four Seasons)
It’s not just normal hawker fare too – honestbee handpicked the most popular stalls (i.e. the ones with the longest queues) within the CBD’s most popular hawker centres. Here are 2 simple reasons you’ll love this new service.
There’s nothing new about delivery services offering hawker centre fare but honestbee is the first to let hungry lunch-goers order from multiple food stalls from one hawker centre and check-out in just one order – you’ll never have to draw lots with your colleagues to decide who gets to pick a lunch spot again.
Here are the hawker centres you can pick from:
Skip the 20 min queue…
… and get your food delivered to your door.
If you’re skipping the gym and enjoying a cheat day, order in from Ah Heng Curry Chicken Bee Hoon Mee for a decadent lunch. You’ll get a massive serving of bee hoon in a rich, creamy curry topped with a generous portion of “taupok” and sliced chicken – skin and all.
Some other stalls you can order from:
Famous Sungei Road Trishaw Laksa (Michelin Bib Gourmand winner),

The next time you want to grab a bite from Maxwell Food Centre, you can skip the snaking queues and order a satisfying plate of the famous Tian Tian Chicken Rice delivered right to your office. If you want something a little different, order in a hearty bowl of English-style beef stew from the father-son duo at Lad & Dad.

Anyone who’s made a trip to Amoy Street Food Court during rush hour knows just how hectic the the lunchtime crowd can be. Order in early and you can have spice up your lunch routine with a meal from SAP Thai – the Basil Chicken Rice topped with a fried egg is especially good!

This service is currently only available for the hungry people working in the Tanjong Pagar, City Hall, Raffles Place and Chinatown areas, and the eventual goal is to roll this out islandwide.
Although Amoy, Maxwell, and Hong Lim Food Centres are among the best in Singapore, we can’t wait for the day we can order from Tiong Bahru Market or Old Airport Road Food Centre!
Much has been made of hawker centres’ gradual demise, but the next few months will be exciting as honestbee gives the industry a shot in the arm with their ambitious goal to bring the best of hawker food to our offices and homes. We hear honestbee’s service will be available islandwide in the coming months!
If you’re getting bored of the usual lunch spots near your office, honestbee’s game-changing hawker delivery service is an easy way to broaden your list of lunchtime options and give you access to food from some of Singapore’s best hawker centres – delivered right to your doorstep.
