As an island nation surrounded by water, it comes as no surprise that much of Singapore’s past is shaped by the seas around us. This year, that’s what we’re celebrating at HeritageFest 2026 – our maritime history. Taking place from 1st to 24th May 2026 across the island, here’s all you need to know about the 23rd edition of Singapore Heritage Festival before tickets go on sale 22nd April.
As mentioned, HeritageFest 2026 will span 3 weeks, from 1st to 24th May 2026. Sign up for updates at the HeritageFest website, and get your tickets to the various experiences and programmes from 12pm on 22nd April.
While the full line-up isn’t available at this point, they’ll be released on 21st April, so keep an eye out for that, and be ready to book them the next day.
For the very first time, HeritageFest-goers will be able to take part in a theatrical bumboat experience. Sign up for A Bump Through Time, and you’ll get sent on a bumboat journey down Singapore River.
You can look forward to interactive encounters that will have you teleported back in time, and witness Marina Bay and Clarke Quay when they were the hubs of migration and trade.
At the centre of HeritageFest is HOMEGROUND @ ACM Green, where the key exhibition of the event can be visited. Across each of the weekends during this period, this is also where you’ll find interactive programmes that will bring all of the maritime traditions to life.

This year’s mascot is Pitta, an illustrated green bird with a yellow crown and red belly – spot it across the island and snap a photo. Post it on Instagram, tagging @sgheritagefest and #ISeaYou, and stand a chance to win a limited-edition enamel pin at HOMEGROUND.
Sign up for updates on the HeritageFest website so you’ll get first dibs on the >100 programmes on offer throughout the festival. Distance is also no excuse, because these activations will take place islandwide, with community-led programmes, performances, food, and immersive experiences all in line with the festival’s maritime theme.
Stay tuned for more updates on the festival, and perhaps keep your May weekends free to find out more about Singapore’s rich maritime heritage at HeritageFest 2026.
