Information, video tour and photography of RWS’s Hard Rock Hotel located at 39 Artillery Ave, Sentosa, Singapore 098269.
Hard Rock Hotel has one of the highest hotel scores based on TSL reviews – at a phenomenal 86%. So we were really excited to check it out for ourselves and see what the hype was about.
The first thing that immediately hits you as you enter the lobby is its dark, vintage rock n roll theme. Black and white paintings of famous musicians adorn the deep purple walls. This is in stark contrast to most hotels which are brightly lit. Couples might find the lighting romantic, while others might find it dark and unique. Regardless, it exudes a different vibe that what you’re accustomed to.
In fact, everything about this hotel is provides an out of ordinary experience. Simply put its like a large boutique hotel with well supported 5 star facilities.
When you go up to your room floor, there are mini exhibits in the lobby you can admire on your way.
There are three main room types. The Deluxe Room starts at $420 SGD.
The rooms are tastefully decorated with rock n roll memorabilia. One of the main room lights was encased in a glitzy type disco ball. The rooms are also equipped with an I-pod docking station. When you step out into the balcony, a fantastic view of the pool area and Marine Life Park greets you. The hotel rooms were built in an arc around the pool so all rooms have this same view.
A nice touch I liked was the closet that was in between the bathroom and main room area. You were able to open it both ways so you could literally walk into the bathroom through your closet from your room. Its so much easier to get clothes this way while you’re in the bathroom.
What impressed me the most about Hard Rock Hotel was their swimming pool. This is hands down the best thing about the hotel and in my opinion they have the best swimming pool in Singapore.
The main pool area is lined with white sand so its a lot like walking up to a beautiful beach, but here you have clean chlorinated water!
Along the side is a long water canal that wraps around the main area for children to play in, which is also connected by a waterway under a bridge to the main pool area. In the center there is a water fountain and slide. Children will have an absolutely blast at the pool area.
For adults, you can have your drinks directly through the rock pool bar. Near that is another pool, which is also connected to the main area – a lap pool as well which overlooks the ‘Coliseum’ where concerts are occasionally held.
In the next part of our RWS insider look series, we take a look at Hotel Michael!
Did you know? Hotel Michael, Hard Rock Hotel & Festive Hotel are grouped under the same tier. So guests from these hotels can use the facilities from any of these three hotels.
| Fabulicious says: “The lobby just screams rocker with deep purple as their main color, guitar bar table, guitars hanged around, rock music, rock artist painting and even a hard rock shop inside the hotel! The minute i entered the lift, i wished i could bring it home. The staff were also rockers themselves! They had funky colored hairs, piercings and tattoos! The rooms were also in the rocker theme with paintings and guitars. I absolutely love their swimming pool! They actually have sand surrounding the pools. I spent hours in the pool and chilling at their bar. Although the room is slightly costly at about $600+ for a night, it is worth the pictures taken there.” |
| poppy says: “The best part about Hard Rock Hotel is, hands down, its swimming pool and manmade beach. The inviting scene makes for a good swim, or simply a good time lazing by the pool. The dim lights that the hotel has used might make your head woozy — for me it induced weariness. The interior of the hotel room is chic and modern and certainly lives up to the name of the hotel with its rock star vibes…” |
