Once again, spooky season is creeping up on us. For some, Halloween may just be another day of the week. But if you’re reading this, then you probably belong to the pool of people who go all out for the occasion and have a mountain of costumes in the closet, ready to go. If that describes you to a T, then you’ve come to the right place.
We’ve done the leg work and sussed out one of the biggest Halloween bash in town. Pack said costumes and hop aboard a haunted cruise. From 8th October to 1st November 2023, Halloween At Sea on Genting Dream by Resorts World Cruises will be throwing a series of kid-friendly Halloween parties featuring witches, Halloween carnival, arts and crafts, and horror storytelling.
A whole lot of Halloween fun is set to kick off aboard Halloween At Sea.
Prepare to get real freaked out at the Frightening Fair where carnival games like Milk Can Toss and Shoot A Duck will take place. Or, add an hour of scares to your trip by sitting in a horror storytelling session where the creepiest of tales will be told by ghouls and ghosts.
If you have kids in tow or are secretly a scaredy cat, DIY Halloween Art and Craft workshops will probably be the safest option. You’ll get to make witch dolls, pumpkin lanterns, wizard hats, and finger bat puppets, as well as paint pumpkins. At night, head to the Zouk nightclub onboard for a party that’ll be lit till late.
Decked out in a bevy of scare zones and mazes, the club will ensure that you can conjure the dead with a boozy drink in hand while swaying to sick beats. Just beware of the creepy clowns and killers in costumes lurking around to mess with you.
On a regular day, Resorts World Cruises is a wholesome attraction for the fam. Come Halloween, however, the entire vessel will be taken over by the Halloween spirits.
With a kid-friendly carnival and workshops, as well as a spooky adult-only nightclub, there’s plenty to do and see for both kids and grownups. Halloween At Sea is setting sail from 8th October to 1st November and you can choose between a 3D2N or a 4D3N itinerary.
There’ll also be a handful of devilishly delish food and drinks served at the Lobby. A few standouts include the Cauldron Bubbles Cake ($48), Sabrina’s Hat cookies ($3/piece), Witchy pumpkin cookies ($5/piece), Witches Brew gin cocktail ($10), and Hocus Pocus mocktail ($8).
When you use your UOB card to book the cruise, you’ll be able to save up to $300 for Interior to Balcony cabin (from $239/person) with no minimum spend required. Halloween At Sea will be sailing to a handful of destinations including Penang, KL, and Phuket.
If you can’t get enough of the themed cruise, come back for another sail on the high seas on Christmas. You’ll find a Christmas Market, Santa meet-and-greets, dance shows, and holiday arts and crafts aboard the ship. As for now, pack your costumes, and get ready to hit the water this spooky szn.
