There are plenty of things to do at Orchard Road, from shopping the latest drops to cafe-hopping. And by now, most of us should have already visited GR.iD – AKA the upgraded shopping mall previously known as PoMo.
If you haven’t visited the swanky mall near Dhoby Ghaut MRT yet, take this as your sign to drop by the place. The mall is running its latest Glow in the GR.iD campaign, where you can expect tonnes of fun activities and prizes, lit installations, and a slew of F&B deals. Read on to find out more:
The device will detect the number of steps taken.
Hands up, or legs up, if you’ve been reprimanded for shaking your leg. It can be an annoying habit to some, but GR.iD is embracing this and turning it into a competition. From 4th August to 3rd September, the Singapore Shake Leg Challenge will take place at the Level 1 Atrium.
Before you begin, register for the free Digital Scratch Card via the GR.iD website. Now the shaking begins. As you shake your leg, you’ll accumulate steps. The more steps you clock in, the more points you’ll get.

These points will be your golden ticket to entering the lucky draw, where you can win prizes including a 2D1N stay at Hotel G, 1 year’s worth of bubble tea, and even a KTV Package at Wave Party K worth up to $6,888. You can also use the points to redeem items including glow-in-the-dark Rubik’s cubes and retail and F&B vouchers to use at the mall.
The festivities continue with the Life-size Kopi Pong game – think beer pong, but Singaporean style. There will be giant cups for you to throw ice cube cushions at, and you’ll earn points for every accurate shot. Similarly, you can then exchange the points for the prizes mentioned earlier.

If games aren’t your thang, you can also collect digital scratch cards by shopping at the mall. Book a late-night karaoke sesh with the gang at Wave Party K, try unique dishes from Kamikaze or Isshi Machi, or indulge in some Thai cuisine from Magnate.
A minimum spend of $15 in a single receipt from 4th August to 30th September will get you a digital scratch card, and each card comes with a varying amount of points. All you have to do is upload your receipt as proof on the mall’s website. You’ll also receive 300 extra points if you’re the first 100 users to sign up on the GR.iD Scratch it & Win website.

From 16th August to 3rd September, aspiring musicians can visit the Green Drumming Installations displayed at the Level 1 Atrium and Social Stairs. These instruments have been sustainably made with recycled waste such as trash bins and dispenser tanks, and you can have a go at drumming too.
There are tonnes of IG-worthy places around the mall.
Once you’re done jamming your hearts out, head over to the light installations at the Social Steps. These funky numbers make for a great backdrop if you want to snap some OOTD pictures, or wefies with your friends. Afterall, it’s a must to commemorate your day out with the gang.
BTW, there’s also the IYKYK (If You Know You Know) event happening every Thursday to Saturday from 4th August-3rd September. Cinephiles will appreciate the Secret Cinema where you can catch the moving Singaporean-Japanese film Jimami Tofu.
If you’re looking for something more interactive, head to the Immersive Gallery. Your eyes will be in for a treat as there will be stunning visuals projected here, and each snapshot will uncover a story. You’ll receive 2 free tickets for IYKYK event when you spend $15 and above at the mall. Or, you can also get them on Cinewav from $12/pax.
If you’ve been meaning to update your wardrobe, now’s your chance to do so sustainably. From 1st August to 3rd September, Cloop and Fumbles & Jumbles will be hosting an open wardrobe pop-up event at the Level 1 Atrium.
