With so many Halloween events this month for humans of all ages to enjoy, there’s no reason for our furry friends to be left out of the fun. Give your four-legged companion a day out to the Funan Halloween 2024 event, called the Howl-O-Ween Night 2024.
It’s taking place on 19th and 20th October 2024, 5pm-10pm at Funan’s Roof Garden. Whether you and your furchild are into sports showdowns, costume contests, scoring treats from pop-up booths or just having a chill picnic with fellow pets and owners, there’ll be something in store for everyone.

The early bird gets the worm, and the early pets and owners who zip down to Howl-O-Ween Night will be rewarded with a Funan Goodie Bag. Available for the first 30 dog or cat owners on each day of the event, the goodie bag is stuffed with pet wet wipes and either dog or cat treats from Yappy Pets for your furchild to enjoy.

There’ll be no shortage of pet food and supplies at the event, with a pop-up market featuring up to 15 booths at a time. Make time to swing by on both days over the weekend, as the vendor line-up will be switched up.
Some vendors to look forward to include Borky Dorks, Shop The Paws, Fuzzy Folks, Cozy Paws, Animal Park SG, Paws & Crystal, and Furry Boost.

Besides having a little shopping spree to shower your furkid with new goodies, there will also be a Trick Or Treat challenge at 5.30pm on both days of the event. Up to 50 slots per day will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. Pet owners will have to visit allocated booths to complete certain actions, before advancing to a sure-win lucky dip.
While all this is happening, you’ll want to be dressed to the nines along with your pet because you both might be in the running for the Best Dressed Pet & Owner costume contest. Winners will be announced at 9pm on each day of Howl-O-Ween Night’s run. To enter the contest, simply head to the Hope For Animals Event Booth with your pet to get a picture snapped.
All the challenges and contests at Howl-O-Ween Night will have you in the running for prizes which are sponsored by the pop-up market’s participating vendors. Expect a mix of goodies such as dog treats, dog bowls, artisanal harnesses and leashes, skin and paw butters, pet toys, and supplements.

Day-specific activities include a DIY Pup-Cream workshop and the Pawlympics Hoops competition on 19th October. The former is organised by local pet food studio, Monsterpet, and will be held at 6.45pm.
If you have a particularly athletic pup or kitty, sign them up for the Pawlympic Hoops showdown at 7.30pm to see whether they can conquer the hoop circuit. Slots for big dogs are still available, so make sure to sign your active doggo up fast.
Designs include spider and bat for maximum spooky vibes.

Meanwhile, feline owners should not miss out on the spooky cat toy DIY workshop on 20th October, 6.45pm. You’ll be taught by crafting whizz, Manjao Mao, how to make a simple crochet toy that your pet will love. It can also be used as an adorable bag charm!
Both your pet’s athleticism and brain power will be tested in the Howl-O-Ween Spider Maze. Happening at 7.30pm, see whether your furkid will make you proud by avoiding temptations and zipping through a maze setup. Similar to the Pawlympics Hoops competition, there are still slots available for big dogs.

Pet owners love a good opportunity to bring their furkids out for an adventure, be it dining out at a pet-friendly eatery or having a staycay at a pet-friendly hotel. This Halloween, let your pet experience the thrill of dressing up all spooky and enjoying the festivities at Funan’s Howl-O-Ween Night.
Funan is keeping it super inclusive, welcoming pets of all kinds to the event – not just cats and dogs. If you’d like to attend with your rabbit, hamster, guinea pig, or even a pet bird, it’s all good. Just make sure to indicate your pet’s species accordingly on the Funan Howl-O-Ween Night registration form.
And to take the stress out of travelling and navigating with a furry friend in tow, the mall has prepared a handy wayfinding guide to the Funan Roof Garden. Now, all that’s left to do is to plan the perfect Halloween costume for yourself and your pet.
