Don Don Donki HarbourFront Centre

Mention Don Don Donki, and that familiar titular jingle begins reverberating in your head. With their new outlet now open at HarbourFront Centre, Southsiders can finally get their Japanese grocery fix while snagging some promotional deals in commemoration of their opening.

Enjoy deals on Japanese goodies up to 50% off

From now till 8th November, pick up some of your favourite Japanese treats at slashed prices. For instance, sushi fans will relish this boat of Sashimi Funamori ($38, U.P. $48) comprising all our favourites like salmon, swordfish, hamachi, sea bream, sweet prawn, clams and ikura.

Widely touted as the prime cut of beef, wagyu beef steaks are revered by all meat lovers – the only caveat being its steep price. If you’re MasterChef material, you can stock up on the Don Don Donki’s Kagoshima A4 Wagyu Ribeye Steak that’s now going for $18 per 100G (U.P. $29.80 per 100G).

Now retailing at $2.90 (U.P. $5.90), these Marusan Umanabe hot pot soup bases are a pantry staple for those big on one-pot meals. There are a total of five flavours – Kimchi, Yosenabe, Chanko, Gomamiso and Tonyu, so you replicate the split-pot hotpot experience at home.

As with all Donki outlets, the Harbourfront store is chock-full of various household items and other Japanese life essentials we never knew we needed. Arm yourself with this promotion catalogue as you saunter along the aisles so you know exactly which deals you’re looking for.

Redeem goodie bags and freebies as a Donki member

You’ll find two random Donki items inside their goodie bag

To celebrate their grand opening, Don Don Donki will be giving out a total of 1,000 goodie bags to existing members who spend a minimum of $50 on selected debit or credit cards.

New members need not miss out either, simply show the Don Don Donki staff on duty that you’ve registered for a free Donki membership on the app, and you’ll earn yourself a mystery freebie.

Look out for this redemption booth located on level 3, as that’s where you’ll be able to claim your complimentary gift.

Get your Japanese essentials at Don Don Donki’s new outlet

Whether it’s a once a week grocery haul for quality meats and Japanese snacks, or replenishing your household essentials and skincare products, a trip to Don Don Donki’s newest Harbourfront Centre outlet will help fill that Japan-shaped hole in your heart.

Make sure to snap a selfie with their beach wall mural when you’re exiting via the side entrance of the store. 100 lucky entrants who upload their shot on Instagram with #DONKIHBF will win a mini plushie of Donki’s mascot, Donpen.

Getting to Don Don Donki HarbourFront Centre

Here’s how the main entrance on level 2 looks like – just in case you get lost!

Though Google is right in saying that the store is situated on the 3rd floor, the main entrance to enter the place is on the 2nd floor. They’ve actually got a side entrance on the 3rd floor, but you won’t be able to access the store from there due to all the safe distancing measures in place.
