Defence Collective Festival 2025

Whenever you think about the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), the digital camo pattern of the army uniform and ferry rides to Pulau Tekong filled with clean-cut recruits flood the mind. However, the land service branch of the SAF isn’t solely responsible for safeguarding Singapore – the Republic of Singapore Navy and Air Force also play a pivotal part.

Well, if you’d like to learn more about all the different aspects of the SAF and show your appreciation for our men in blue, grey, and green, the Defence Collective Festival 2025’s no better place to start. Happening in November, it’s a celebration of our nation’s defence history, and there’s much to see and do. Here’s all you need to know about the event.

Although entry to all 3 locations is completely free, visitors can opt to purchase a Single-Access Pass ($12) to receive an Activity Passport to fill out on their visit. If you’re planning to tackle all 3 spots, go for their All-Access Pass ($32) instead to get the most bang for your buck.

What to expect at Defence Collective Festival 2025?

Whether you’re planning a cute museum date or taking the entire fam out for a fun outing, the Defence Collective Festival 2025 has got you covered. Singapore Navy Museum

Aspiring seafarers, you’ll want to have a gander at Singapore Navy Museum’s Defence Collective Festival 2025 offerings.

For starters, their Activity Passport-exclusive activities include the Military Expert Dior’s Trade Quest, where you’re tasked with cracking puzzles to make sense of a Sea-cret Master Plan. Afterwards, step into the fins of a naval diver at Lieutenant Seymour’s Sensory Chamber; this one will have you using your senses to complete challenges that test your grit and teamwork.

Visitors without an Activity Passport have plenty to do as well. For something artsy, take part in their Naval Engineering workshop to design and deck out your very own model warship made out of recycled materials. You can also take control of a mini submarine at the Submarine Challenge to navigate an underwater obstacle course, and catch a glimpse of rich naval history at the Military Coins Showcase.

On the other hand, those looking to live out their Top Gun dreams can make a beeline to the Singapore Air Force Museum during Defence Collective Festival 2025.

2 Activity Passport-exclusive experiences await visitors here. The Lieutenant Eli’s Sky Search scavenger hunt will have you combing the museum for clues and cracking codes to stop a malicious cyber attack. Over on the asphalt of Captain Ted’s Little Pilots’ Runway, kids can pilot electric carts to zoom through a flight path, complete with road blocks to weave past.

Fret not, there are also some free activities available right at the Singapore Air Force Museum.

Put together a functioning flying machine of your own at the Aircraft Workshop, and see if your reflexes rival those of a fighter pilot at the Combat Fighter: The Reaction Game. But for a more authentic experience, step into the Flight Simulator’s cockpit to assume the role of an F-16 pilot.

Do note that registration for non-Activity Passport Holders is required for visiting the Singapore Air Force Museum during Defence Collective Festival 2025 due to limited venue capacity. You can do so via the Singapore Air Force Museum website.

All the way in the West, the Singapore Discovery Centre’s also looking to get in on the festivities.

Only for visitors with an Activity Passport, embark on a scavenger hunt with Explorer SingaPaw’s Cultural Quest, that’ll have you embracing the Little Red Dot’s multicultural spirit, completing missions and evading cheeky enemies along the way. As for the little ones, they’ll assume the role of soldiers-in-training at Recruit SingaPaw’s Escape Maze; its obstacle-filled rooms, tricky puzzles, and teamwork-centric challenges are sure to delight them.

As for non-paid activities, there’s the Build The Nation play zone for creative minds to recreate Singapore-themed landmarks with blocks, as well as the AR Colouring Workshop which transforms drawings of iconic defence vehicles into animated 3D creations. There are also a couple of Carnival Booths too, where you can try your hand at winning a prize or 2.

Last but not least, there’s a slew of army-themed activities to immerse yourself in. What’s more, complete 3 of them and you can redeem a personalised army ID tag as a cool keepsake. But first, you’ll want to look the part, so rent a uniform ($10) here for the kids to don; there are Army, Navy, and Air Force get-ups to choose from.

Once you’re all suited up, test your mettle at the Warrior Challenge’s physical missions, and get a first-hand taste of the field camp experience at Let’s Get Outfield!, where you’ll get to put on camo face paint and pitch a basha tent. For those looking to show off their precision, stop by the Crossfire Paintball Shooting Lanes to gun down targets, or go for rounds of laser tag at Black Lake Laser Battlefield.
