DBS Sailing At The Bay is the kind of activity that ticks all the right boxes – chill, packed with opportunities to snap plenty of pics, and perfect for just about anyone, making it a fantastic activity for families, couples, or solo adventurers. However, those under 7 years old and above 70 years old won’t be able to participate. And for safety reasons, those under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult.
To book a session, simply head to the DBS Sailing website and check for available slots. There are only 10 spots per session so the fastest fingers first. Pro tip: slots are popular, especially on weekends, so mark your calendar for when new dates open up – typically a month in advance.
Once you’ve secured a spot, you’ll receive all the details you need, including where to meet and what time to arrive. It’s a straightforward process, and with everything being free, there’s no reason not to give it a go.
As for what to bring along, there’s no need to overthink it. Just show up in comfortable attire with flats or sports shoes. Bring along some sunscreen and shades to protect yourself from the blazing sun as well. And don’t worry about safety gear – life vests will be provided before you hop on the sailboat.
If the weather turns rainy, your session may be cancelled or delayed on the day itself, even if you’re already out on the water. To avoid any surprises, check the forecast ahead of time and modify your tickets online if the weather doesn’t look promising.
Make sure you arrive 10 minutes before your session as latecomers will have to forfeit their slot. The whole session lasts anywhere between 30-40 minutes, including a quick 10-minute safety briefing. Once you’re out on the water, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the Marina Bay skyline and a refreshing breeze. You’ll even be able to take pics with the gigantic steering wheel.
