Gen Zs are redefining what a good time looks like. With adulting hitting hard – from rising costs to early mornings – many are ditching the late-night clubbing scene for daytime parties instead. These casual, afternoon hangouts are easier on the wallet, and best of all, end early enough for you to get home via public transport.
Table of Contents
Daytime parties usually start in the afternoon or early evening, and wrap up by around 10pm. This gives partygoers plenty of time to catch the last bus or train home without surge fares or pricey Grab rides.
Some of these parties even swap out booze for matcha or alcohol-free beers, creating a chill, sober-friendly third space that is welcoming to everyone – whether you drink or not.
For one, Singapore’s nightlife has gotten expensive. Between cover charges, $20 cocktails, and late-night Grab surges, a single night out can easily burn a hole in your wallet.
Then there’s the health factor. More young adults are choosing to prioritise productivity over nursing nasty hangovers on a workday. It’s why many daytime parties now skip alcohol altogether or incorporate wellness activities, like pilates and yoga.
Even popular nightclubs like Zouk have hopped on the trend – the club recently hosted Hungover, a daytime hangout that caters to this new, more balanced way to party.
Many of these organisers host regular parties throughout the year. Here’s a quick overview of some upcoming events to look forward to:

Beyond their sick collabs, they also host regular sober daytime parties, featuring a selection of coffee options in place of alcohol and a mix of afro beats, amapiano and house music.
Since its inception, it has grown in popularity overseas as well, with the crew hosting a party in Jakarta last July. For those who still want a sober party with classic nightclub vibes, they also have b&b supper club – a unique twist to the classic late-night parties, with alcohol-free options and hosted at local 24-hour lepak spots, like mamak shops.
Check out their upcoming pool party, Coffee Your Way, on 25th October 2025 – you’ll get to beat the heat with refreshing coconut drinks, play coffee pong, and capture the moments with Polaroids. Tickets are priced at $15.

Ice Cream Sundays brings the vibes and happy hours well before 3pm at their massive open-air parties. They’re true veterans in the daytime party game, having been around since 2018. Fun fact: back in the day, they served actual ice cream at their events – hence the name.
Their parties have popped up all over Singapore, but Haw Par Villa has long been their home base. Sadly, their stay there is uncertain due to some logistical issues. That’s why their upcoming big bash, Triple Scoop, will act as both a send-off to the year and a farewell to the iconic venue. Partygoers can look forward to beats by house DJs Bongomann, Muto, and Toppings.
Tickets start from $35 for students and those below 25 years of age. The event is open to all, and kids below 12 can enter for free. Just ensure that any minors coming along have an accompanying adult.
Admission: From $35/pax

If you’re more into smooth R&B and Soul beats, Soulset will be right up your alley – this daytime party features early 2000s throwbacks from the likes of Nelly and Ne-Yo.
The event is presented by Culture, the team behind themed parties like retro nights and Mandopop sessions. Their most recent edition featured matcha from Slow Slips Matcha, bites from Nice Rice, and a rotation of 4 DJs with emcee Zak hyping up the crowd. It was an 18+ event with standard club rules, but you can expect a more laid-back crowd that’s there for the groove, not the chaos at future parties.

As the name suggests, Small Intimate Parties are just that – cosy gatherings for anyone looking to stay away from the typical crowded venues. Their regular events often take the form of rooftop brunch parties, where you can sip on wine, beers, and cocktails, or even curated coffee brews.
The vibe is set by a team of house DJs providing the beats, including Aks, LTLX, and Khai. Beyond their own events, they also bring the beats to other collabs, proving that small parties can still make a big impression

5210pm is all about good party vibes that end early enough for you to catch the train home. Their parties are known as Sunday Mess, hosted every 3 months, where resident DJs will perform house music sets throughout the evening.
They recently celebrated their 2nd anniversary with a big bash, turning The Pantry at Dempsey into a big hangout spot. Between dancing, guests could relax in cosy corners or get creative at arts and crafts stations, including an airbrush souvenir station to take home a little keepsake.

Breaking into the music scene isn’t easy, and that’s where Positive Spaced comes in. They pair professional DJs with emerging local talents, providing guidance, mentorship, and a venue to hone their craft.
Their latest afternoon bash, Low Light, kept things affordable – tickets were only $10, with an array of inexpensive drink options. The day kicked off with UK Garage from Hongman, before Rob Young dropped some punchy Techno sets. Him1ko made his second appearance with Positive Spaced, closing out the day with rhythmic Baile Funk beats.
