Clarke Quay is having its largest food festival, transforming the iconic Read Bridge from 5th to 9th December, 6PM onwards. The Great Clarke Quay FEASTival will offer drool-worthy dishes from 15 Clarke Quay restaurants across all sorts of cuisines, all at special tasting prices.
There’ll also be live music, a giant see-saw and ball pit, Insta-worthy setups as well as plenty of cocktails, wines and craft beers. This is the true definition of eat, drink, and be merry.
Here are some food highlights to reserve stomach space for!
Not satisfied with just conquering the local nightlife scene, Zouk now presents RedTail Bar and a selection of scrumptious dishes to pre-game with. We recommend the Beef Brisket Bowl ($12), a tender stew slow-cooked in five-spice.
Drinks wise, sip on the Gin Gin Mule ($12) featuring gin and ginger beer with lime and mint leaves. The Supernova ($10) mocktail is a refreshing non-alcoholic option with soda, mango and lime juice.
Experience the medley of seafood flavours in Octapas’ Marisco Paella ($10). Then grab some Churros ($5) for dessert! Chewy and soft within with a crunchy exterior, these bite-sized goodies are perfect with a dusting of cinnamon sugar.
Nobody does comfort food better than McGettigan’s. Specialising in Irish pub nosh, their signature Beef Stew ($10) contains creamy mash and a tantalising Guinness gravy. If you fancy getting something to share, their Sliders ($10) come packed with aged cheddar, caramelised onion, and a truffle aioli that is to-die-for.
You don’t hear much about Cuban food spots on our lil island, so Cuba Libre is definitely a treasure find. Their must-have is the Cuban Sandwich ($13), essentially a leveled-up version of ham and cheese grilled sandwiches that’ll leave you hooked within the first bite. Wash it all down with a nice Mojito ($15 for alcoholic, $8 for virgin) or two.
Aptly named, the rich seafood soups at Ramen Keisuke Lobster King are indeed fit for royalty. Slurp up a hearty bowl of Lobster Broth Ramen ($10), we recommend completing it with a top-up of chashu, seaweed, and a flavoured ajitama egg ($5 altogether).
The spirit of street food is in daring yourself to try exotic dishes. Forget fried crickets, East Treasure Chinese Restaurant has a Double Boiled Tonic Soup with Crocodile Meat ($8). Tastes gourmet, and definitely will have you bursting with vigour.
Go big or go home with The Pump Room’s ginormous Crispy Pork Knuckle ($32 for whole, $18 for half), served with sauerkraut and beer sauce. You can also savour some Singapore Golden Ale ($10), a craft beer made with love by their resident brewmaster. Yay, SG pride!
Let your inner child run free with a giant ball pit and see-saw. No more feeling embarrassed about being “too old” for playgrounds!
