We’ve but a month before we wave goodbye to 2024 and for most of us, that means some Christmas shopping is in order. Of course, it doesn’t hurt to keep an eye out for the latest deals this festive period, so leave it to the Citi SMRT Card to save you a pretty penny while prepping for the many year-end get-togethers to come.
From a S$300 cash back^ welcome gift to pamper yourself this Christmas, to savings on groceries in case you’re playing host to parties, here are the perks that its Cardmembers can enjoy.
If the task of hosting a Christmas shindig has fallen on your shoulders this year, fret not.
The Citi SMRT Card has got your back, as you can count on it to accrue up to 5% savings* on your grocery purchases. As such, cooking for huge groups won’t be too daunting, cost-wise at least.
Best part is, you can shop at any supermarket across the Little Red Dot to pick up your ingredients, and still be eligible for the savings. These savings will take the form of SMRT$, which can be exchanged for cash rebates and shopping vouchers, and you can track your SMRT$ balance by downloading the handy Citi Mobile App (App Store | Google Play).
SMRT$ is credited at a base rate of 0.3% on retail spend, and once you reach a monthly statement of S$500, you’ll be granted an additional 4.7% savings* on groceries, online shopping, and your commute – which is nothing to be scoffed at. Plus, it’s pretty easy to accumulate this half a grand of spending monthly, once you factor in other expenses such as online shopping purchases and transportation.
Speaking of which, serial ride-hailing app users will be glad to know that the money spent on private hire rides will go towards hitting that monthly retail spend of S$500 on your statement. These include trips booked via popular apps like Grab and Gojek, so you can make your appearance at any EOY party across Singapore in a jiffy.
It goes without saying that those who swear by taking the public transport will also get to enjoy these savings too. Any transaction made via SimplyGo, be it tapping into MRT stations or boarding public buses, will contribute to amassing the S$500 monthly statement spend.
When it comes to gift giving this holiday season; in particular, shopping for style-centric goodies, it can’t get any more enticing than checking out with a Citi SMRT Card.
For instance, Citi Cardmembers can get 20% off their next order on Crocs’ online store when they spend at least S$120 on regular-priced items, by checking out with the promo code found on Citi’s website
Club21 is also offering a 20% discount on regular-priced items from brands such as COMME des GARÇONS and Palm Angels. Citi Cardmembers will just need to key in promo code <CITI20> when shopping online.
Finally, fashion retailer giant SHEIN is offering S$15 off their apparel with a minimum spend of S$70. Shoppers can find Citi-exclusive promo codes on their website, as well as the SHEIN app (App Store | Google Play).
These are just a couple of the sweet shopping deals that Citi has lined up for the holidays; for a full list of promotions that Citi Cardmembers can tap into, do visit the Citi website.
