If you’re on a Christmas deco hunt around Singapore, checking all the various tree and light installations off your list, you can’t miss Christmas Wonderland at Gardens By The Bay.

Back for the 4th time with bigger, more breath-taking Luminarie light sculptures and a whole new line-up of festive activities from a massive outdoor skating rink to an epicurean food fare featuring Michelin-starred restaurant offerings from as low as $6, here’s what you can expect:

P.S. Read on to find out you can win a trip for 2 to Finland!

1. Ice skate under the stars at their first-ever outdoor rink

There’s no reason to head all the way down to the westside to skate comfortably when you can experience a whole new world on ice under a canopy of stars and Christmas lights at Christmas Wonderland’s first-ever outdoor rink.

30-minute sessions go at $10 for adults and $8 for children. And even if you can’t skate to save your life, you’ll be glad to know that complimentary skating aids are available on a first come first serve basis! Just remember to bring your own socks, or purchase them for an extra $2!

Check the different skating time slots here.

Note: Tickets are only available at the Skating ticketing booths onsite at the event.

2. Experience “snow” amidst towering light sculptures

As long as you’re in Singapore, there’s no way you’ll get to experience a white Christmas… not unless you’re headed to the tallest light sculpture in Christmas Wonderland, The Spalliera – sans the cold temperature, of course.

Standing at 22.5 metres tall and 20 metres wide, the beautifully illuminated structures will transport you to a winter wonderland with its “Blizzard Time” which happens 5 times a day at the following time slots – 6.50PM, 7:55PM, 8:55PM, 10PM, 10:30PM.

Just some of the 80 dazzling Italian white wood light installations found within the grounds of Gardens By The Bay.

3. Enjoy a 45-minute circus show by Circus Abyssinia

Hailing all the way from Africa, prepare to be wowed by Circus Abyssinia’s showcase of gravity-defying stunts and contortion acts as they make their first Asia debut here at Christmas Wonderland. You can catch their jaw-dropping performance at The Meadow on Tuesday to Sundays, and on Christmas day!

Price: $12/session for adults, $8/session for children below the age of 12 years old

Tickets are available for sale here.

4. Fuel up on Michelin starred-restaurant nosh at SAVOUR

Also setting up camp at this year’s Christmas Wonderland is the highly anticipated SAVOUR. If you missed the last couple of their food festivals, this is your chance to tuck into Michelin-Starred dishes from Saint Pierre to Shoukouwa at the Gourmet Village. Expect to find a wide arrange of dishes from modern Australian to French-Mediterranean cuisine between the prices of $6 and $12.

There’s even an al-fresco dining area and an air-conditioned larger-than-life snowglobe for dedicated feasting. Image credit: Christmas Wonderland

5. Shop and feast at the European-style Festive Market

With over 24 pop-up wooden huts housing a smattering of novel gifts and festive treats from handmade artisan jewellery and quirky knick-knacks to specially-concocted fragrances, you’ll find it hard to leave empty-handed.

Look out for more pop-up food stalls like The Raclette Factory’s Raclette Set ($12) and others from stalls like The Travelling Chef On Wheels, Churros Republic, and Kuvo.

Grab the non-alcoholic Santa Surprise from Swagpotion’s booth for just $4!

6. Play old-school carnival games and go on fun rides

Put your skills and luck to the test and try your hand at their old-school carnival games for a chance to win plushies. Starting from just $4, expect to challenge your family and friends in games like the Ring Toss, Big Mouth and Lobster Pot.

Plus, if you’re coming with young ones, let them have a go on a total of 8 kiddy rides from bumper cars and a chair-o-plane ride at just $6 per ride.

*BONUS* Stand a chance to win a trip for 2 to Finland!

Swing by Santa’s Grotto where you can meet Father Christmas in the flesh for a selfie. There will also be over 100 gifts up for grabs daily – stand to win Circus Abyssinia tickets, F&B vouchers worth up to $100, free carnival rides/games, and a grand prize of a trip for 2 to Finland!

Get into the Yuletide spirit at Gardens By The Bay

If the Luminarie light sculptures aren’t enough to lure you into a visit, then the myriad of activities, festive treats and available Christmas workshops definitely will. Don’t miss their line up of festive workshops available that’ll teach you how to make all sorts of DIY gifts this Christmas from terrariums and ornaments to room and body sprays.
