From the ubiquitous Teo Heng to glitzy new Rave Studio, KTVs certainly count as some of our to-go places to unwind and have a good time. Where else can we shamelessly sing – or for some, scream – our lungs out, pull off slick dance moves, and knock back a few cold ones, all while remaining in the comfort of an air-conditioned room?
Joining the existing karaoke studios in Singapore is the new Chao K Party Karaoke. Conveniently located opposite Bugis Junction, this space-themed karaoke studio is a KTV version of the futuristic Ark11 nightclub. On top of the usual karaoke rooms, it also features a rooftop bar where you can chill out and recharge after crooning the night away.

You’re not wrong for wondering if you’ve stepped onto the set of Tron. In line with its futuristic, space-age theme, the studio eschews conventional white lighting for cool electric blue LED light strips. The hallways and rooms are finished in a metallic grey sheen, further enhancing that starship vibe.
Rather than paying by the hour, Chao K Party Karaoke charges customers per pax. With 2-hour packages starting at $16/pax, you’ll have plenty of time to choose from their wide selection of tunes ranging from the latest English pop hits to indie Laotian jams.

Whether you’re feeling peckish or just downright hungry, the KTV has an extensive menu you can order from. With their own in-house chef ready to whip up everything from light bites such as meat skewers ($1.80/skewer) to full meals like fried rice ($12), you can be assured that your tummy’s rumblings won’t overpower the sound system.

They even serve fruit platters ($18.80), which you can pair with a refreshing honey yuzu ($5.90/glass, $18.90/jug) for an option that’s easy on the throat. That’s essential after a long session of belting out tunes.
For those looking to let off some steam after a long week at work, they stock a wide selection of alcoholic drinks too, ranging from beers to hard liquor. Prices start at $15.90 for a variety of bottled beers.
