Singaporeans have plenty of exciting openings to look forward to over the next decade, and one of the biggest projects on everyone’s radar is Changi Airport Terminal 5 (T5). It’s only set to open in the mid-2030s – which, TBH, feels like forever away – but if you’re already curious about what the future of travel looks like, there’s something to tide you over. The T5 In the Making exhibition, starting 6th January 2026, lets you get a first look at what’s in store for our up-and-coming terminal.

It’s an immersive exhibition located in Changi Airport Terminal 3, and your chance to find out what T5 might look like, way before it actually opens. You’ll get to walk through interactive displays, check out the design ideas, and see the innovations that will make Changi’s newest terminal one for the books.
The exhibition is split into 5 interactive zones, and you’ll want to set aside about an hour to explore everything at a comfortable pace. If you’re thinking of popping by before a flight, just be sure to plan your time so you’re not sprinting to your gate after.

Start your journey at Another Bold Singapore chapter, where you’ll get to see how Singapore made the move to shift the airport from Paya Lebar to Changi 50 years ago. Fast forward to today, the nation is embarking on its next major milestone – building its 5th terminal.

Next up is Built on Firm Foundations, which walks you through the key moments that turned Changi Airport into the global aviation hub we know today. You’ll also see what the future holds as Singapore gears up for its next big leap in air travel.

The highlight of the exhibition has to be From Vision to Reality. This is where you can sit back and take it all in, watching how 1,080ha of land is being reclaimed to make way for T5, alongside the ideas and tech that will bring this mega terminal to life.

Then head to Cool Tech Warm Touch to see how smart tech is being used to refine labour-intensive work, tackle climate challenges, and make getting around the airport smoother.

Lastly, Come Imagine With T5 lets you get hands-on and visualise your own version of T5 using interactive display panels.

Admission to the exhibition is free, but you’ll have to register online beforehand to secure a time slot.
You can register up to 5 visitors per booking, with time slots available from 10am to 7.15pm. While walk-ins are accepted, they’re subject to availability, so it’s best to spend a couple of minutes registering online before heading down.
The T5 In the Making exhibition will only be around until March 2026. Don’t wait too long to register – once the sneak peek disappears, you’ll have to wait until the 2030s to see T5 in action.
