Singapore turns 61 this year, and Changi Airport is throwing a celebration so big you don’t even need a boarding pass to join in. From now until the end of August, Changi and Jewel are packing in light shows, a Peranakan dress-up experience, flower displays, shopping discounts, and even a mini K-pop-adjacent stamp hunt for a free bear keychain. Basically, it’s giving airport, but make it a full day out.
Here’s the lowdown on everything happening for National Day 2026 at Jewel and Changi Airport, so you can plan your visit without having to actually be flying anywhere.
Everything’s happening across Terminals 1 to 4 and Jewel Changi Airport, with different events running on different dates between now and the end of August, while some stretch to September or even the end of the year.

Changi Airport Group and Jewel are celebrating National Day 2026 with a mix of new and returning events spread across the terminals and Jewel, running from mid-July all the way to September. The lineup covers food, culture, shopping perks, and live performances, and most of it is free to walk in and see. A few experiences do need a ticket or a minimum spend, but we’ll flag those clearly below.

Jewel’s newest addition this year is a Peranakan heritage experience on Level 5, done in collaboration with Baba Nyonya Restaurant. You get to try on traditional Peranakan attire for photos on the Canopy Bridge, sample a Peranakan food platter, and join a bookmark-making workshop. Tickets start from $46 and already include Canopy Park and Canopy Bridge entry, plus a $5 Jewel voucher, so it’s not a bad deal if you were going to visit Canopy Park anyway.

If you grew up watching the National Day Parade, you’ll know Home by Kit Chan gives you chills every single time. The Jewel Rain Vortex is bringing back its National Day light and sound showcase set to the song, running every night throughout August. Weekdays get 2 showtimes, while weekends and public holidays get a bonus 3rd show.

Terminals 1 to 4 are getting National Day-themed horticultural displays until the end of August. The standout is a 6m illuminated bougainvillaea tree at Terminal 2’s Departure Hall, featuring flower varieties actually named after the airport… yes, there’s a Bougainvillea called “Changi Airport”. Over at Terminal 3, expect moving kinetic butterflies next to a 4m floral display of the Vanda Miss Joaquim, Singapore’s national flower.

Terminal 3’s Departure Hall is turning into a stage for Music Escapades on the first weekend of August, with over 700 musicians from 16 secondary school, tertiary, and community bands performing a mix of National Day songs and current hits. Great if you want some free live entertainment while waiting for a flight, or just want an excuse to hang around the airport for a bit.

Terminal 3’s basement hangout ST3PS is hosting a National Day weekend special with goodie bags, games, and mascot meet-and-greets. Changi Rewards members who spend $50 get this free meet-and-greet photo pass, where they can catch Minions on 8th August and My Little Pony on 9th August.
There’ll also be live sets from local acts Ben Hum and Boon Hui Lu, and the National Day Parade itself gets screened live at ST3PS after the 9th August session.

If you’re actually flying out or in on 8th August, Terminal 3’s transit area is hosting singer-songwriter Charlie Lim for a set of National Day favourites, done in partnership with the National Arts Council.
There’s also a live typewriter poet on site who’ll type you a custom poem on a limited-edition postcard, which honestly sounds like a nice thing to bring home instead of the usual duty-free chocolate.

There’s a Changi-wide stamp hunt running for the whole of August. Spend at least $28 at any one of these 3 spots: Hub & Spoke Café, Gift by Changi Airport, or Changi Experience Studio, to unlock the hunt, then collect all 6 stamps to redeem a free Buddy Bear keychain. Good one for families since kids tend to be way more invested in stamp hunts than adults are.

Throughout August, Jewel is running a Mastercard tie-in where you stack up to 3 same-day receipts to unlock vouchers and a gachapon token for a chance at tenant vouchers or Canopy Bridge tickets.
Spend $200, and you get a $10 Jewel voucher plus 1 token; spend $400, and it’s a $50 voucher plus 2 tokens. Foreigners who hit either tier and flash their passports also get a free limited-edition Mr. Merlion plush keychain worth $23, so tourists, this one’s for you.

Singapore residents get a short window to snag 1-for-1 individual attraction tickets at Jewel. The deal itself needs to be bought between 7th and 10th August, but you can use it for a single-day visit anytime up to 31st August.
Just note it doesn’t cover the Canopy Park entrance ticket or bundle packages, so it’s for the individual attractions like the mirror maze or the slides.

Changi’s bringing back its 2XGST promotion across 3 separate weekends this July and August. If you’re a Changi Rewards member, which is free to sign up BTW, and you spend at least $30 in one receipt at any of the 35-plus participating outlets across Terminals 1 to 4, you get 9% plus 9% off.
Pay via Mastercard through Changi Pay, and you can also snag an e-voucher: $5 off if you spend $60, or $12 off if you spend $100.

From mid-July through September, Terminals 2 and 3 get pop-ups featuring merch from Snoopy, Sanrio, Ang Ku Kueh Girl, and Mr Kiasu, all given a local twist. There’s also a Mr. Merlion Town pop-up with a nostalgic mock Mamak Shop set-up, interactive games and photo spots, perfect if you’re feeling some Singapore kid nostalgia.

Lotte Duty Free’s running an SG61 Celebrate Together campaign from July to August, where spending at least $61 gets you a shot at a Time Machine game; stop the clock at exactly 6.1 seconds and win a $16 voucher. Singapore passport holders spending at arrival or departure outlets also get a $10 voucher for their next visit.
Separately, stores like Swarovski and Pazzion have holiday specials running through August, and F&B spots like Tip Top and Harry’s are doing limited National Day menu items, think chilli crab puffs and a chicken rice-inspired spaghettini.

Swing by the Changi Shopping Carnival from now till 31st August, where all 4 terminals have been transformed into 16 carnival-themed activation zones. Wander around to spot game booths, photo-worthy displays, and airport-themed decorations, all free to explore.
If you’re catching a flight, scan your boarding pass to play a free ring toss game for sure-win prizes like shopping and dining vouchers. Spending at least $60 at participating outlets also lets you spin a prize wheel for rewards including vouchers, limited-edition Changi plushie bag charms, and even daily grand prizes such as $1,000 cash, a gold bar, or an iPhone 17 Pro Max. Even if you’re just there to soak up the atmosphere, it’s a fun excuse to explore Changi’s shops, restaurants, and installations beyond the usual pre-flight routine.
Whether you’re actually catching a flight or just looking for a free-ish outing this National Day, Changi Airport and Jewel have covered pretty much every base this year, food, culture, shopping perks and free entertainment included.
