We’ve all been guilty of squeezing into a photobooth with our besties, scrambling to strike a pose before the timer runs out, and walking away with a photo strip for keeps. But if the usual 4-cut photos aren’t enough to satisfy your inner model, there’s a new spot in Singapore that’ll have you striking poses for hours.
Chalkak Collective recently opened on 29th October 2026, and it’s Asia’s 1st photobooth museum. Located just 8 minutes from Marymount MRT, this self-portrait playground features 4 themed studios, unlimited photo-taking opportunities, and personalised souvenirs, all for $59/pax.

Admission costs $59/pax for a 90-minute session, which includes access to all 4 stations and unlimited photo-taking. Children under 10 years old can join for $20 each, with a maximum of 3 children per booking and at least 1 accompanying adult.

Unlike your typical mall photobooth, where you’re limited to a handful of shots, Chalkak Collective gives visitors 90 minutes to explore its 4 stations and take as many photos as they fancy.
Each station comes with its own photography style, lighting setup, and print formats, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to switch up your poses and bring home different keepsakes.

If you’ve ever wondered what you’d look like on the front page of a vintage newspaper, the Vintage Press Studio has you covered.
This retro-inspired station transforms your photos into old-fashioned prints featuring your visitor number.

There are 5 print formats to experiment with, including The Newspaper, Vintage Strip, Vintage Print, Vintage 2 Strip, and Museum Receipt.
Instead of relying on digital filters to achieve that nostalgic look, the studio uses monochrome lighting and print treatments to give your photos an authentic archival feel.
You’ll also find framed photographs, vintage posters, and record shelves decorating the space, making the studio itself a photo-worthy backdrop.
Set aside around 20-25 minutes to try the different formats, with physical prints available after each round.

For those who love collecting adorable trinkets, the Cutesy DIY Bar takes the photobooth experience one step further by letting you turn your pictures into personalised souvenirs.
After snapping your photos, head over to the crafting station, where you’ll find stickers, frames, cutting tools, and other materials to decorate your creations.
There are 5 DIY formats to choose from: Purikura, Trading Cards, Explorer ID, Meme Sheets, and Keychains.

You can channel your inner K-pop idol by designing your own trading cards, turn your funniest expressions into meme stickers, or create matching keychains with your besties.
The best part? All the crafting materials are included in your $59 admission, so you won’t have to fork out extra cash to get creative with your souvenirs.
The station recommends around 35-45 minutes for the full photo-taking and crafting experience, although you’ll need to keep an eye on your overall 90-minute session time.

No photobooth museum would be complete without the iconic Korean-style photo strips we’ve all come to love.
At the K-Photo Lab, you can squeeze up to 6 people into a spacious booth, complete with a wide-angle camera and a bench so everyone gets their moment in the spotlight.

Expect the familiar countdown timer that’ll have you frantically switching poses and trying not to burst into laughter before the camera flashes.
You can choose from several formats, including Mall 4-Cut, XL Strip, Museum Strip, Halloween Strip, and Tablet Booth, alongside different Booth Effects.

Once you’ve selected your favourite shots, your photo strips are printed on the spot, with 2 copies provided as standard.
It’s an ideal stop for friend groups looking to update their photo collections without leaving anyone awkwardly cropped out of the frame.

Ever wanted a professional-looking photoshoot without having a photographer watching your every move? The Self Portrait Atelier lets you take matters into your own hands, quite literally.
This minimalist studio features a seamless white backdrop, professional softbox lighting, and a camera connected to a wired remote shutter.
Instead of racing against a countdown, you get to decide exactly when to take each shot, giving you more freedom to experiment with different poses and expressions.

The studio also has a monitor displaying your photos as they’re captured, so you’ll get to review your shots, adjust your pose, and try again until you’re happy with the results. This is also a great option to get a polished portrait for your socials, or snap some passport-style photos without the usual stiff expressions.
There are 4 photo formats available: Studio Portrait, Magazine Cover, Portrait Cards, and ID Photo.
The studio accommodates up to 4 people at once, with a suggested shooting duration of 25-30 minutes.

Besides the photo prints and souvenirs, every visitor also receives a Chalkak Collective Passport, which doubles as a keepsake and a way to track your photobooth adventures.
The physical passport comes with a navy cover and a travel-inspired identification page, giving it the appearance of an actual passport.
As you explore the museum’s stations and photo formats, you’ll collect stamps and visas to commemorate your experiences.
There’s also a digital version linked to your Chalkak Membership ID, which is automatically created using the email address you provide during booking.
All your digital photos and high-resolution downloads will be stored in your account, so you can revisit your favourite shots long after your visit.
Just sign in using the same email address whenever you want to access your collection.
To get there, alight at Marymount MRT Station, take Exit B, and walk approximately 8 minutes to the Halycon Building. Alternatively, take bus services 54, 410, 851, and 588 to get to the bus stop Opp Marymount Stn, which is a 2- to 3-minute walk from the building.
If your gallery is in desperate need of a refresh, Chalkak Collective is a fun addition to Singapore’s growing list of creative hangout spots. With everything from vintage newspaper prints to DIY keychains and studio portraits, there’s plenty to keep you and your friends entertained.
