…Or so you thought, before stumbling upon this lit lineup of Christmas festivities at Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES that’ll convince you to get up and get out. There’s a European market, live bands, and snowfall, along with FIFA World Cup live screenings happening from now till 26th December 2022.
A good ol’ Christmas market is exactly what you need to get into the festive spirit.
Head to the Outdoor Plaza at Capitol Singapore and look for booths laden with lights. They sell everything from home decor and seasonal snacks to handmade trinkets, and will give you a reason to browse for hours.
Have a look at an array of freshly baked bread, fine wine, and unique crafts designed by charity organisations – these are displayed alongside flowers and balloons.
When you’re not shopping, you can channel your inner Alicia Keys by the Singing Tree and hum along with the Christmas Carollers.

Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES take this season pretty seriously, so you can bet there’ll be snow.
Expect to witness a spectacular snowfall at The Lawn at CHIJMES and Outdoor Plaza at Capitol Singapore. If you’re here on Wednesdays, you’ll be able to grab front row seats to live pop and rock performances by local bands.
Between 22nd and 26th December, there’ll be a dazzling light projection show projected onto the facade at CHIJMES. The entire place will be twinkling in lights so make sure to pencil in some time to see it in all its glory.
