Gone are the days where you had to venture all the way to town just to fulfill your shopping desires. Right in the heart of Bedok, you’ll find Bedok Mall and its wide selection of fashion stores to aid you in a wardrobe upgrade whenever the need arises.

If you’ve just received your mid-year bonus and yearn to give your wardrobe a much-needed refresh – especially after sporting the same outfits all year – consider taking a stroll around the mall, which is accessible via Bedok MRT. You can find apparel for different occasions, accessories, and even footwear.

Office ‘fits

As many of us are returning to the office post-WFH arrangements, it’s essential to have a few key pieces that ensure you’re dressed to impress. After all, you clock into work 5 days a week, for the majority of the day.

Kenjo (left), iORA (right).

At Kenjo (#01-22), you can find lightweight satin or silk blouses that are ideal for Singapore’s sweltering weather. They also have breezy basics priced from just $2 apiece. If you’re a fan of a vibrant and colourful wardrobe, pop by iORA (#01-29). Their collections are arranged by colours, allowing you to easily browse and find your preferred shades.

iORA offers
bundle deals where you can purchase 2 items from a specific collection of clothing, at either $29.90 or $49.90.

Casual wear

If you reserve your dressier attire for the weekends when you go gai gai, you can visit Coo.Seoul+ (#01-24) for a range of dresses adorned with prints, including polka dots for a retro-inspired look or pretty floral patterns.

Echo (#01-64) also has a selection of quirky tops and bottoms that are sure to make you stand out in a sea of basics. In addition to that, all the pieces are designed in-house and exclusive to Echo, so you can be assured of their originality.

Those up for a bit of treasure-hunting can test their luck at REFASH (#01-55 to 56). You might find pre-loved pieces from popular brands such as ASOS or The Editor’s Market with a reduced price tag. Plus, for the month of July 2023, the Bedok Mall outlet will be having an exclusive promo. All items with a “SALE” tag will be going for $3.90 each, with a minimum purchase of 2 items.

Footwear & accessories

After you’ve sorted out your tops and bottoms, don’t forget to complete your ensemble with the perfect footwear and a complementary bag.

Head over to D & C (Design & Comfort) (#B1-66) to search for elegant heels for an upcoming D&D, or a stylish handbag that can accommodate your tablet for important client appointments.

Travel essentials

If you’ve already booked your flight to the land Down Under or are contemplating a winter adventure in Europe, make your way to UNIQLO (#B1-26 to 28). They carry heat-tech apparel that will help brace you for the chilly weather.

However, if you’ve nearly finished packing but find yourself missing a few essential accessories, make a quick trip to The Wallet Shop (#01-54). There, you can conveniently grab those last-minute knick-knacks, such as a pocket-friendly e-tool organiser and a pouch for your passport, and be able to check them off your packing list.

Shop at Bedok Mall’s fashion stores right in the East side

In addition to the aforementioned brands, Bedok Mall boasts other fashion-related stores that cater to all, even the little ones.

Kids can grab a pair of new kicks from Bata (#B1-21 to 22). And even the tiniest ones have an opportunity to flaunt adorable clothing – including rompers and swimwear – from Cotton On Kids (#B1-63 to 64).

When your stomach starts to rumble, you can easily satisfy those hunger pangs under the same roof.

One of the newest additions to the mall, SAN REN XING 三人行  (#B1-40), is where you can enjoy Chinese cuisine like Braised Nanping Noodles and Szechuan Style Spicy Chicken while taking a well-deserved break from your shopping spree.

Alternatively, those who would like to grab a quick bite can dabao a unique Indonesian-style pancake – AKA Martabak Manis – stuffed with fillings such as cheese and ondeh ondeh from Smile Martabak (#01-03).

With its prime location right next to Bedok MRT and Bedok Bus Interchange, Bedok Mall is a convenient shopping destination. Its impressive directory also makes it well worth a trip when you’re itching for some retail therapy, whether or not you’re an Eastie.

In fact, the mall carries fashion brands, such as CLOUD 9 STUDIO (#01-36) and Yu Er Fashion (#01-39), which are not commonly found even in popular shopping areas or major shopping malls. Pop by the next time you’re looking for new ‘fits and you may just uncover some hidden gems that complement your style.
