This Hotel In KL Has A Bridgerton-Themed Cafe & Suites Right Out Of Versailles From Just $110/Night

Arte by Thomas Chan in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

December is almost here, which means seeing stories of everyone gallivanting around Europe. But no need to FOMO – you can get your “European winter” shots a little closer to home, because KL has its very own slice of French opulence waiting for you.

Located in Mont Kiara, Arte by Thomas Chen is a hotel inspired by the grandeur of French palaces – think Baroque-style columns, poetic hand-painted frescos, and rooms that look straight out of a castle sketchbook. With artistically styled suites, a 24-hour fitness centre, and a luxe infinity pool, it almost feels like checking into a mini Versailles.

Aesthetic rooms with old-world grandeur

One thing about Arte by Thomas Chen: every room is its own little universe. The Louis Rooms, for example, are among their most sought-after stays. Inspired by the Renaissance era, these rooms transport guests to a time when revolutionary ideas blossomed and gave rise to artists like Leonardo da Vinci. Yes, the artist who painted the Mona Lisa.

Expect intricately handcrafted mouldings, ornate furnishings, and French-inspired artwork that come together to create an atmosphere dripping with old-world grandeur.

Each room in this category is styled to echo the essence of that period – down to the patterns, textures, and elegant curves. Some of the rooms even boast a bespoke Renaissance-style bathtub that you can soak in after a day of exploring KL. Rates start from RM350/night (~S$110.26) without breakfast, or RM436.21/night (~S$137.43) with breakfast included.

If you’re living your dark feminine or dark masculine era, the Palatial Noire III Suite (from RM672/night, ~S$211.72) will feel like it stepped straight out of your Pinterest boards. Think deep slate walls carved with dramatic Baroque motifs, paired with a gold chandelier. The polished marble floors and sculptural accents make the entire suite feel like a moody French château.

It’s great for self-care days or even filming GRWM videos on TikTok. Don’t worry, we won’t judge.

Have breakfast at a Bridgerton-themed cafe

If you’ve booked breakfast with your stay, don’t rush through your morning. The hotel’s restaurant, Arte 66 Restaurant & Bar, is a whole experience on its own. Step inside and you’ll feel like you’ve wandered straight onto the set of Bridgerton with soaring arches, Baroque carvings, and ceilings that look like they were lifted from a Versailles ballroom.

Foodies will love the breakfast menu (RM50++ per pax, ~S$15.75). You get to pick 1 main per pax, starting with the crowd favourite Signature Nasi Lemak. If you’re in the mood for something more western, go for the Arte of the Breakfast Table: organic eggs done any way you like, served with sourdough, roasted tomatoes, baked potatoes, cured beef bacon, and chicken sausage.

There’s also a daily Fried of the Day where you get to choose between Malaysian-style wok-fried noodles or rice. Breakfast comes with side dishes including chicken congee and pastries, as well as drinks at the buffet counter.

And if you’re feeling tai tai vibes, check out their high tea. Trust us, it’s full European vibes, filled with angel statues, white arches, pastel pastries, and velvet seating.
