Attention, all blind box fans and gacha lovers: Air Japan is now holding a limited-time summer gachapon event – Catch Your Memories On Board! Air Japan Gacha! – on some of its select flights.
If you’ll be travelling with the airline anytime soon, keep a lookout for the gachapon trolley rolling down the aisles – maybe being in the sky and closer to the heavens will bring you more good luck.

From now till 31st August 2025, passengers taking Air Japan flights on the Narita-Bangkok (NQ1) and Narita-Singapore (NQ3) routes will be able to participate in the gachapon game to win prizes.
Do note that the Narita-Bangkok flights on 20th, 23rd, and 27th August, as well as the Narita-Singapore flights on 21st to 25th and 28th August, will not be participating in the event. Make sure you’ve double-checked if your flight falls into one of these categories so you don’t get disappointed.

Since Air Japan is a budget airline carrier from the ANA group, in-flight meals and miscellaneous purchases are separate from your flight ticket cost. So while you’re on one of the participating flights, spend ¥2,000 (~S$17.40) or more on in-flight meals or other purchases to receive a gachapon token. Using the token, you’ll get to try your luck at the capsule toy machine that a flight attendant will wheel around during the flight.
Prizes include original flight tags and stickers featuring the airline’s destination cities, Air Japan aircraft designs, and cute art of its in-flight meals. There are 4 different designs for the flight tags and 3 types of stickers.
Most capsules are packed with the prizes we mentioned, but 2 gacha-playing passengers will also win a ¥10,000 (~S$86.99) flight voucher to be redeemed on future flights with Air Japan. 1 grand prize goes to a Narita-Bangkok passenger, and the other to a Narita-Singapore passenger – so rest assured that there’s a fair chance for all.
Leave it to the Japanese to bring an actual gachapon toy machine onboard a flight. If you’re looking to add a little excitement and surprise to your next flight, take a gamble with the Air Japan gachapon this August and snag a little prize for yourself.
