Previously a watering hole pushing out simple bites, Acid Bar reopens at Orchard with a tantalising menu for revellers. Located at Emerald Hill right opposite 313@somerset, it’s super worth your while too, so you don’t need to wait until your pockets are full to wine and dine here.
Priced at $28++, the dinner set menu comprises a sumptuous main course, dessert and an alcoholic bevvy. Say whut!
Available from 5pm to 9pm, the dinner special features six types of mains to satiate any craving.
If you’re feeling hungry from all that Christmas shopping, fuel up on the Mushroom and Bacon Carbonara.
Underneath a thick blanket of freshly-grated parmesan is a bed of linguine coated in cream and white wine. Giving an umami punch is the added streaky bacon and sauteed mushroom.
It’s not too rich, giving you space to chug down your beer.
Small eaters like myself will find the Crab Cake with Zesty Remoulade ideal for our appetite. Lightly breaded with panko, the golden crispy parcel comes fully packed with fresh crabmeat. Be sure to smear the remoulade over for a tinge of spice.
Breakfast for dinner is always a yes in our books, and Acid Bar’s dinner special offers just that with their Shrooms & Eggs On Toast. This simple dish is packed with earthy flavours from sauteed mixed mushrooms, as well as a touch of decadence from the melted mozzarella and onsen egg.
End off your meal with their Seriously Fudgy Chocolate Mess or Belgian Waffles. The latter features a fluffy waffle crowned with mixed berries coulis and two scoops of vanilla ice-cream.
This dinner special is a real steal, considering you get a choice of Heineken draught beer or a glass of martini in lychee or peach flavour. Non-drinkers can opt for soft drinks or a bottle of San Pellegrino.
Music-lovers, you will be glad to know that Acid Bar offers daily live music. Sing along to a repertoire of popular hits, as talented artists belt out catchy tunes from 7pm until late.
