For many of us, the main highlight of National Day celebrations is the fireworks. While those who copped tickets for the NDP will be guaranteed first-row seats to the pyrotechnic displays, the rest of us will have to head down to Marina Bay or make bookings at hotels or restaurants that offer similar views.
If you’d like to have a magical dinner with views of fireworks and our beautiful skyline, we have just the right place for you. 1-Arden Bar is located on the 51st floor of CapitaSpring – and it’s a lesser-known alternative for the best fireworks viewing experience.
You get the best of both worlds.

Let us just start by saying that 1-Arden Bar has the picture-perfect view. Located 51 floors above the ground, it overlooks Marina Bay Sands and Fullerton on one side, and Chinatown on the other. And that can only mean one thing – full views of the fireworks display at Marina Bay.

Since the restaurant is still a little “secret”, there are seats available on both the NDP preview date on 29th July and National Day. If you’re just here for the views and vibes, you can also purchase a standing ticket at just $25 inclusive of an alcoholic beverage. We think the price is pretty reasonable, especially since you’ll get to avoid the Marina Bay crowds.

On National Day itself, there’ll be a live performance by local band GRAVITY from 6.30pm till late. If you’re coming with a large group of friends, we’d advise you to contact the bar for table reservations. However, do note that there’ll be a minimum spend for tables which you can enquire with the establishment.

With the vibes being immaculate, the food and drink options are just as impressive. If you’re down for a cocktail, order up the Arden Fling ($18) – a concoction of gin, fresh dragon fruit, strawberry syrup, lime juice – as well as Tears of a Geisha ($20) which contains rum-infused Geraldton wax, yuzu sake, cold brew kimi, and green tea soda.
For something more classic, they also have the Classic Martini ($20), Margarita ($18), and Mojito ($18).

Drop by anytime between 3pm and 10pm daily to enjoy special prices from the bar’s Sunset Social Hours. If you’re coming with a group of friends, we recommend getting the Beer Bucket which has 5 bottles of beer for just $45. On Thursdays, 1-Arden has Ladies’ Night promotions all night long – with cocktails starting from just $10 and wine by the bottle from $70.

For bites to complement your drinks, choose from a selection of finger food. The menu features all-time favourites like truffle fries ($12) as well as more adventurous options such as cured kangaroo katsu ($18) and chilled octopus ($20). If you’re craving for something more local, the satay platter ($22) or fried chicken wings ($18) are hard to go wrong with.

Time is running out as we speak, so we recommend making your reservation fast. Aside from the fireworks, you’ll be able to catch sight of the other exciting segments of the NDP such as the Island Flypasses and Red Lions.
You can only imagine the type of view you’d get when standing at a bar 51 floors above the ground. Along with good food and company, we guarantee that you’ll have a lot of fun.
