Vietnam Rolls Out Covid-19 Vaccines In Fancy Transforming Trucks With Extendable Roofs & Vaccine Freezer

Vietnam used specialized transforming trucks to distribute Covid-19 vaccines

To curb the heavy Covid-19 outbreak in the country, Vietnam is rolling out vaccination programs in several major cities.

To help make the vaccines more accessible to citizens, authorities have employed trucks specifically designed for the purpose. Equipped with extendable floors and roofs, these vehicles serve as mobile medical centers that can go straight to people’s doorsteps.

Check out some of the pictures below.

The trucks come with a freezer for the vaccines and extendable floors

At first glance, these mobile vaccination centers, courtesy of Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO) – one of Vietnam’s leading car manufacturers, look just like regular trucks, each with a big trailer in the back.

Once deployed, however, the sides of the trunk can be opened upward, forming a roof. Moreover, there are extendable panels to provide shade on sunny days, and lights for night use.

Meanwhile, the floor can also be expanded into a much bigger space than what first meets the eye. This provides ample room for tables and chairs to be set up, where medical staff will work with vaccine recipients.

Speaking of which, the vaccines are stored inside a built-in freezer, ensuring their quality.

The vehicles have been implemented in many cities

In total, 63 of these vaccine trucks have been produced and given to all 63 Vietnamese cities and provinces. Many have already been put into use.

Earlier, Thanh Niên reported the truck in action in Cần Thơ Province.  From the pictures, it appears that bringing vaccines to people’s doorsteps helps reduce large crowds significantly.

Meanwhile, preventive measures are still observed, as vaccine takers are seen waiting for their turn on plastic stools, maintaining a safe distance from one another.

Get vaccinated to protect yourself

The specialized trucks are a practical initiative that can hopefully help shorten the time people need to wait before getting their shots.

Hopefully, we will see a large portion of the population fully vaccinated soon, and the pandemic snuffed out.
