COVID-19 Security Enforcement Staff Member In Vietnam Becomes An Internet Celebrity For Being Too Handsome

Handsome security staff member spotted at COVID-19 security post

Public workers have been getting all the love of late thanks to their dedication to protect us from COVID-19. For the past few days, Vietnamese netizens have tipped their hats in respect to a veteran who lost a leg in the Vietnam War, but still volunteers at a local security post.

Aside from him, however, another soldier doing security enforcement duty is also getting lots of attention, albeit for a very different reason: he’s incredibly attractive.

A soldier who became famous overnight

Over the past few days, Vietnamese netizens – more specifically, the female half – have been getting . . . well, let’s just say a bit overly excited over pictures of a young soldier standing at a security post drinking water. Once you take a look at the pictures, though, it’s easy to understand why: the man looks like a K-Pop star.

And sure enough, thanks to the effort of who we’ll call online netizen investigators, quirkily dubbed “surveillance cams powered by rice” here in Vietnam, the identity of the man in question was quickly revealed to be Nguyễn Xuân Sơn, a soldier working in a security post in the northern province of Quảng Ninh.

Sơn shot to internet stardom pretty much overnight, gaining tens of thousands of followers on Facebook and Instagram in a matter of days. He was surprised by the development himself, saying that he never expected that much attention.

Sơn was quick to capitalize on his newfound fame to help spread positivity and helpful messages, though. On 18th April 2020, he posted pictures of himself donating blood, calling for everybody to do the same as it could help save someone’s life.

“Did you lose blood? Here, take some of mine,” he whimsically captioned his pictures.

In an earlier post, he advised his followers that “COVID-19 is really dangerous. Although we are seeing positive developments thanks to appropriate preventive measures from the government, we definitely should not let our guards down!”

Attractive security staff goes viral

It seems beauty is always appreciated, even in trying times such as these, and we’re glad to see that Sơn is making good use of his influence to help the community by raising awareness on the COVID-19 situation.
