Do Son peninsula, 20KM away from Hai Phong’s city center and 120KM away from Hanoi, is a popular picnic spot for families over the weekends. The peninsula in the north of Vietnam is home to a myriad of beautiful beaches as well as fun activities such as paragliding and water motorcycling.
Starting from this Saturday, 6th June onwards, visitors can check out Do Son peninsula’s brand new beach, sparkling with golden sands and clear waters. Incredibly, it’s a man-made beach.
From 6th June, residents and visitors in Hai Phong can explore the Doi Rong tourism zone, where the city’s first man-made beach is located.

Stretching over 1KM and boasting a size of 23 hectares, the beach is graced by rows of coconut trees and covered in 50,000 tons of imported golden sand.

After a good swim, visitors can go for a walk around the resort square decked out with landscapes, fountains, and striking decorations.
Unlike the murky waters in many beaches in Do Son, the waters in Doi Rong resort have been filtered so that they become cleaner and look crystal-clear.

Developed by Geleximco Group, the construction of Doi Rong tourism zone started in 2019 and is estimated to be completed in 2023.
Doi Rong Resort is 480 hectares large and will soon keep visitors entertained with a resort, restaurants, a 18-hole golf course, and water parks, which are currently all under construction.

With new places to hang out and have fun in the Doi Rong tourism zone, including this man-made beach, residents and visitors in Do Son can expect more entertainment options, and more deals and promotions from service providers in the area.
People will have more space to spread out beyond the existing beaches which can get crowded during holidays.

Do Son is a peninsula that’s only roughly 30 minutes’ drive away from Hai Phong’s city center. Being a popular resort ever since the French colonial period, it is home to snap-worthy French architecture in addition to its numerous beaches.

The peninsula is also the top destination for seafood among visitors from nearby provinces, who also flock here to lounge in the sun and try out water sport activities.
This new Hai Phong beach has clean blue waters, vast golden sands, and coconut trees – all the prerequisite ingredients needed for an ideal beach vacation with plenty of photo ops.
And by the way, while you’re in Hai Phong, consider hopping on a ride on the world’s longest cable car system for a 360-degree view of the seaside paradise.
