As a major theme park located right in Đà Nẵng City, the Asia Park is loved by locals and tourists alike thanks to its unique architecture combining elements from several Asian countries and plenty of entertainment activities.
Earlier this year, the park announced that it was closing its doors to visitors for maintenance and refurbishment, with the expected reopening date set at 30th April. However, the plan experienced a delay due to the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Now, though, the Asia Park is all set to come back later this week on the 2nd of July with new upgrades, promising an enhanced experience.

To celebrate the reopening, all visitors who come before the end of July will be able to enter the park completely free of charge. Normally, an entrance ticket would set you back VND150,000 (~USD6.44).
What’s more, if you get a buffet ticket at the park’s restaurant (VND199,000, ~USD8.54), it’ll grant you unlimited access to all the rides. Free-flow beer and soft drinks are also available at VND99,000 (~USD4.25) and VND49,000 (~USD2.10) respectively.

Since the closing of the park, many Đà Nẵng residents can’t help but feel a sense of longing every time they pass by the area as they notice the towering Sun Wheel standing forlornly in the distance. Now, it won’t be too long before we can once again hop on one of its cabins to enjoy a bird’s eye view over the city from a height of over a hundred meters.

But the park itself will have a lot more to offer than what we remember. The square in front of the wheel, for instance, has now been expanded to now have a capacity of up to 10,000 people. This will no doubt become the venue for many a concert and major event to come.

A section of the park has now been turned into a new night market where visitors can come to have a bite, picking from a wide collection of snacks from several Asian cuisines, or haggle for souvenirs and accessories. Moreover, if you’re in the mood for some alcoholic beverages, there will be no shortage of bars in the area.
Also under construction is a massive water fountain, expected to open later this year. Once completed, it’ll be a sight for sore eyes and the stage for spectacular water and music shows.
With tons of upgrades and revamps promised, the Asia Park will no doubt add another stop to your visit to Đà Nẵng. Also, don’t forget that several other attractions in the city are currently accessible for free as well. Now might be the best chance for you to experience one of Vietnam’s most beautiful cities if you haven’t already.
