Cheese Coffee On Lê Thánh Tôn, Saigon: Japanese-Themed Cafe With Classy Decor For Gorgeous Photos

Cheese Coffee – cafe with Edo era-inspired building

Cheese Coffee is a chain of cafes that has become well-known among young Vietnamese in recent years, as it’s famous for its gorgeous European interior designs that make their cafes go-to places for fantastic photos.

But there is one location on Lê Thánh Tôn Street that does not follow the brand’s European aesthetic. In an attempt to fit in with the surrounding Japan Town, known for its many Japanese establishments, the cafe has opted for unique, Japanese-style architecture instead.

Unique Edo-style building

A small shop just 4 meters wide located right next to an alleyway, this cafe’s unique Japanese-style roof and white hanging lanterns distinguishes itself from the rows of Vietnamese-style tube houses and other modern, concrete buildings.

This charming exterior makes the shop a favorite among Instagrammers and TikTokers, with its wide variety of great photo angles.

When you’re done with taking pictures, fuel up with the drinks and snacks offered by the cafe. In here, you can choose from a wide selection of juice, coffee, and tea.

True to its name, Cheese Coffee’s signature is its cheese foam topping, available with tea and coffee. Packing a creamy, flavorful punch, the topping can be scooped out to enjoy by itself or mixed with the rest of the drink to make a unique-tasting beverage.

We recommend the Hazelnut Caffe Fomai Machiatto (VND65,000, ~USD2.61) to newcomers here, a sweet and nutty coffee that is seemingly enhanced when sipped through the thick layer of cheese foam.
