Da Nang’s Art In Paradise Is A Museum Full Of 3D Art Pieces For You To Play With Perspective & Snap Creative Shots

Art In Paradise 3D museum in Da Nang

With stunning natural landscapes of vast mountain ranges and pristine white sand beaches stretching as far as the eye can see, Đà Nẵng offers no shortage of backdrops for awesome pictures to bring in those likes on your social media feed.

And for those on the lookout for a more unique photo-taking session, the Art In Paradise Museum is our highly recommended destination. While the museum is located north of the city in an area that doesn’t see much tourist traffic, it’s well worth the trip for the chance to bring home creative photos that play around with viewers’ perspectives.

Over a hundred 3D pictures spanning 9 different themes

Unlike the conventional art museums that simply display exhibits, Art In Paradise is home to over a hundred interactive 3D wall paintings specifically designed to create optical illusions, where visitors themselves will become the final element to complete the scene.

The expansive 2-story building is divided into 9 zones dedicated to different painting themes. At one of the sections, you’ll find recreations of classic art pieces such as Mona Lisa and The Scream, but they’ve been adapted in a quirky manner. For instance, the character in The Scream is screaming because he’s literally caught with his pants down while sitting on the toilet.

Deeper inside are other sections featuring marine life and a safari, where you can snap shots of yourself “playing” with different animals.

Meanwhile in the Fantasy Zone, snap a picture facing the wall with a painting of a giant book to look as if you’re stepping through its pages into a fantasy realm.

There’s also a sculpture of Thor’s hammer that’ll give you a taste of what it’s like to wield the mighty Mjolnir.

Outside of 3D paintings that create optical illusions, you’ll find on the second floor a creative studio with plenty of objects to interact with, from a sculpture of a boxing sandbag to a drum set and more.

If you have trouble imagining how to take pictures with some of the paintings, such as which angle to snap from or how to pose, simply look on the floor to see markings showing the ideal photo point for each and every painting. There’re also sample pictures for you to draw inspiration from.

During the peak tourist season, entrance ticket to Art In Paradise is priced at VND140,000 (~USD6.01) per adult and VND100,000 (~USD4.30) per child between 1-1.3 meters in height, but currently, the museum is offering a discount where adults can also access it for VND100,000 (~USD4.30) each. Meanwhile, children under 1 meter tall can enter for free.

There is a café at the exit of the museum, and while it’s nothing out of the ordinary, it offers a decent menu of coffee, tea, soft drinks, and even bubble tea for you to quench your thirst after all the photo-taking. Drinks here range from VND20,000 (~USD0.86) to VND35,000 (~USD1.50).

Getting there: As the museum is located inside Đà Nẵng city, just 5KM from the city’s center, you can easily book a Grab ride or drive your own motorbike here.
