User reviews
Then i grew up a little and they revamped their bar to be know as J Bar. It was a chic little space with a balcony and seating area that overlooks the ports. Pretty cool secret place that i will bring my dates here for a drink or two. A few years later my cousin even had her engagement party here!
I grew up a little more and one of my friends got married here. It was very decent, nothing over the top or terrible but just a very decent wedding, not too grand but not too shabby.
I stayed here a few months back once again and today, i think the room rates are very decent and the rooms still pretty much look the same like it was a decade ago. Well maintained though and still very decent today and i had a good stay over here.
I have to agree their services is nothing to scream about.
i guess this is a very good business hotel. Not too sure why it is listed as a boutique hotel because there is nothing boutique about it.
Finally, i have never had the chance to try their breakfast but perhaps i will next time seeing the rave review someone gave below.

Travel-wise, I don't really think this place suits tourists and leisure travellers. All the city hype and buzz aren't any near this hotel.
The check-in process was smooth and I was relieved to see that there aren't many crowds lingering around.
Nothing spectacular about the room, unfortunately. The decorations are minimal and basic. But I had a very good sleep throughout the whole night, thanks to their super comfy bed and fluffy pillows. I will doze off in seconds after a long day at work.
No doubt, I will always choose this hotel for my next business trip.
And on one occasion just last year, I was feeling down and stressed out, I decided to visit J Bar alone. I ordered a giant martini to drown my sorrows. As I started tearing while having my drink, a friendly bartender started a conversation with me. I was a mess and he allowed me to confide in him. He even waived off my bill! I admire his attitude at work and would definitely pay him a visit soon!

The whole place is just so pretty and modern.
I stayed at the studio loft that comes with 2 levels and we had a great time taking pictures! The stairs, table and deco all looked new and stylish. Comes with a fridge and two beds. One above and one below.
We also went down to the pool area and it looks really cosy and pretty. There are also many comfortable seats around where you can enjoy small talks or camwhore with friends.
However there are a few things to note though.
1) Room is quite small. I think it is best for a stay of 4 pax. They aren't so particular if you exceed the maximum pax but you would have to keep the volume down (point 2).
2) You can party there but no loud music. The rooms are very near each other thus you might be advised to keep the volume down at times. Or sometimes, you might hear noise coming from other rooms.
3) The main thing that bothered me was their small bathroom. There is no space for me to put my clothes without getting them wet. For people with claustrophobia, you might have to book other types of rooms.
I really love m hotel's layout and design will definitely come back for more stays!
I was so surprised at the quality of food here. True, it wasn't exactly Michelin-star gourmet cuisine, but it was pretty darn close. The breakfast buffet had such a wide spread of options; anything from nasi lemak to marmalade toast can be found there. And if you fancy something, just tell the waiter and he'll be happy to pass on the request on to the chef for only a nominal feel.
A food hotel, if nothing else.

However, I have to give a thumbs up for the quality of their guest rooms and hotel facilities. I especially love the jacuzzi at the swimming pool! I hit the gym as well, and was pleased to see that the equipments were well-maintainted.
The location is great too, there are a few nice eateries nearby. After we were back from our dinner, we wanted to get a wine opener from the concierge. Upon seeing that we were looking around, the bell boy glanced at us and hurriedly walked away. Again, I don't think this is the kind of service level that we should expect from the hospitality industry.
Overall, I would say paying $190 for a night at M Hotel is rather worth it. But the experience would be more completed with a better service level.

When i got to my room, I was really surprised at how spacious the room (Deluxe) was. There was a sofa and working desk for the businessmen guests, and pillows were fluffy and soft. There was also an ipod/iphone dock where you could plug in your device and it would play your choice of songs while charging your device! The toilet was clean and room service was pretty efficient. Our requests for a change of towels was met with promptness and a smile.
The only downside to M Hotel was that television channels were limited and there was static so the shows were not clear. Perhaps it's a problem with the connectivity?
The swimming pool at M Hotel looked really inviting although it was a tad bit too small. Breakfast buffet had quite a number of choices which surpassed my expectations.
