Rupini's was established in 1994 and provides a wide range of bridal and beauty services. The central theme at Rupini's is holistic beauty care, and they pride themselves in manufacturing their own beauty products using traditional and modern technology. They offer services such as threading, facials, massages and hair care.
The woman tending to my brows was crazy efficient - she threaded and plucked with an expertise that I don’t normally come across with beauticians nowadays. For the low price I paid ($5 at the time), such service exceeded my expectations. The cooling cream applied straight after my threading helped in muting the redness on my skin and made the embarrassment of heading back out less painful.
The nondescript location of Rupini’s above a Mexican restaurant is unfortunately (or fortunately, if you like to avoid a queue) my only gripe. It’ll take you a while to find but once you do, you’ll be heading back for more.
My eyebrows have been every shape from bush to tadpole to just simply uneven, but every time that I leave Rupini’s they leave them in incredible shape. The experience of eyebrow threading is never going to be the most fun, but they get the job done so quickly and efficiently that it’s almost bearable. The cooling moisturiser put on afterwards also stops the redness, making appearing in public straight after not such an ordeal.
Although Rupini’s is an Indian beauty specialist salon, you always find people of all races inside enjoying their beauty services and secrets. A favourite of mine for a while, I can guarantee that your first visit most likely won’t be your last.
