I first stumbled upon this little bakery in Holland Village more than 10 years ago, and fell in love instantly with their freshly baked mini croissants. I have been a regular patron ever since, and will buy from them at least once a week.

It was only in the recent couple of years that they set up branches in Vivo City and ION Orchard, which got more people noticing them and raving about their pastries.

I used to love the homely Japanese feel of their Holland Village outlet when the staff was primarily Japanese, but unfortunately, they have since been replaced by PRC nationals so it kind of feels different these days.

The little shop in Lorong Liput has just shifted to Holland Avenue to be on the same stretch as Body Shop and I should be paying a visit to their new outlet soon.

When I first tried Provence in Holland Village...I was trully satisfied! Me and my friend enjoyed the cinnamon rolls which is very soft and tasty and also their milk buns, chocolate twist and Tomato&cheese pizza!

They also have a small dining area where you can eat your breads combined with hot drinks.
Everything there is yummy!

Hands down, Provence is the best bakery for me in Singapore. It is only here that I find reasonably priced bread of equal standards to some of the better bakeries in Japan or in Europe. Unlike some of the other commercial bakeries around, each and every variety of bread is remarkably savory with just the right softness to it.

Bread, even when kept in the fridge for a few days, should always be soft and fluffy. Provance has without a doubt achieved that consistently in its products. Some of the bread varieties that I particularly enjoy include the Brazilian soy bun, milk pan and egg sandwich. If you are one who enjoys eating high quality bread and don’t mind paying a wee bit more for it, this is the place to go.

I first heard about provence before they expanded and started outlets in vivocity and orchard. The one at holland v is by far the best with the widest variety. There are even seats for dining in and it's has an al-fresco concept too, if you want to take the outside seats.

My personal favourite is an pan, milk pan and chocolate wassant. Their bread is really soft, slightly airy and the only word to describe it is: perfect. No other bread compares. The an pan is sweet but not too much and it's somehow cooling in the mouth. Very special. Milk pan- milk custard in a soft bun.. I think heaven is just right there in provence.
I didn't like the pizzas at all though. A tad too oily and it doesn't taste like pizza, but bread pizza from those bakeries, if you know what I mean.. So what's the point?

A wake up call for all bread lovers islandwide; have you ever tried tasting the famous marble chocolate bread from Provence Bakery? If you have not, you should try the breads sold by Provence Bakery and i am sure you will fall in love with the bread at the first bite.

Three tasty breads that I always purchase from this Bakery is definitely the marble chocolate bread ( it comes in other flavour like pandan and butter flavour) , the next one is the Milk Pan bread ( the bread is filled with creamy milk, dont worry the taste wont make you sick), and the next one is pizza with sesame ( bread that looks like pizza topped with crunchy sesame and tasty tomato sauce)

The marble chocolate bread is the big hit amongst the bread fans like I am.
It comes in small pieces with swirled chocolate wrapping around the bread.
Some of them are already packed with choices of five or ten pieces in each packets. The loose ones are also displayed for customers who want to choose the quantity of bread they wish to purchase. You will not stop eating  this bread at just one piece.

Another one is the Milk Pan Bread with milky cream filling tht s not too sweet and the taste is just right. No excessive amount of cream is given.
The bread literally looks like a cupcake and it gives you the feeling of fullness after having it.

And the other bread is pizza with crunchy sesame; the bread is slightly oily as I believe that it is pan fried to give the crunchy feelings. On top of the bread, there are decent amount of vegetables, sesame seeds and finished with tomato sauce to boost the flavour. This is definitely a healthier alternative for having a pizza.

For those who have never tried the breads from this bakery, you should try it and you will keep coming back for more.

I absolutely love coming to Provence for baked goods. Their breads are so fresh and nice to eat. Chewy and flavorful. It's everything you can ask for from a piece of bread. Really. There's a reason why it is constantly filled with people! At the Holland Village outlet, you can get breakfast sets. It usually comprises of a sandwich and a drink. I highly recommend the milk pan and the cinnamon bun from Provence. The milk pan... once you start, you can't stop. Not only kids love it. The adults do as well! The milk pan is well-kneaded and as the name tells you, yes you can definitely taste the wafting fragrance of milk in it. The dollop of cream in the middle of the bun pulls everything together! I think it's their #1 selling bun, every time I go there to get milk pans, there would be only 2 or 3 left.

The cinnamon bun is something not to be missed as well. The bun is coiled and sprinkled with authentic cinnamon powder and some icing sugar. The bun is very chewy and tasty! I am not a big fan of cinnamon and cinnamon-related food but this bun is really good. Prices of the buns are generally steeper than what you would pay for outside but you are paying for the good quality and taste of the bun and I have to say this: Good buns are priceless.

I've loved bread since young, and Provence Bakery's products are not only freshly baked, but taste delicious. Unfortunately, I have to travel quite far a distance to obtain their bread, so it's a rare treat! But thankfully there's a small stand alone store in NEX, Cold Storage, although the goods sold are less..

My favourites are the Choco and cream wassant, the Milk bun and chocolate twist. Choco and cream wassant is light and savoury, you can really taste the chocolate(or cream) in the bread as compared to similar products from Four Leaves. Their breads are all soft and have a fragrant aroma when warm. ^^

Do not be mistaken by the name Provence which may allude to the region in France, this is actually a Japanese style bakery and cafe, and a very good one I must say. It serves a wide array of freshly baked bread ranging from the milk pan to their ever popular wassant as well as cinnamon rolls.

The bread are reasonably priced at around $1.50 for the big ones and $0.80 for the small ones. Upon tugging into the buns, you would realise they represent good-value for money and they are just so addictive and awesomely flavoured such that you feel like buying another one just to satisfy that appetite of yours. My favourite would be the milk pan. The bun was incredibly fluffy and soft and the filling made up 3/4 of the bun. The filling was really rich and delightful to the mouth.

Different outlets have different assortments of bread and some have the set up of a nice cafeteria for you to catch up with friends. Highly recommended!

"I'm in heaven~~"
I'm a sucker for soft, fluffy breads. Piping hot, fresh from the oven? You got me there.

Provence sells breads of assorted varieties. I learnt that it was this bakery that started the wassant craze in Singapore. They sell assorted flavours of croissant, and they were indeed, as touted to be, soft, fluffy and absolutely delectable.

They also do indoor dining where they sell sandwiches and you can sit and sip your drink while you chow down your carbs, meanwhile whiffing the smell of freshly baked bread from the kitchen. And spy, if no one's watching you, grab your second sandwich and pretend you had been eating your first one all along.

Nobody's gonna blame you.

The Pastries from Provence Bakery & Cake are winners in their own rights. The winner in my heart has definitely got to be the Milk Pan - awfully soft and warm on the outside with a light sweet scent of butter. Biting into the bread, a rich flow of warm milk cream will ooze out, sending you to the milky way of the culinary realm. I once had Milk Pan three times in a week for three weeks straight. It is that awesome.

However, some of my friends find the Milk Pan too sweet. However, there are many other types of bread at provence - each equally nice-scented, warm and fresh. One of my friends simply loves their mini chocolate croissants.

Service is satisfyingly good as well. The bakers, after a while, remembers my order and will always offer to get me a freshly baked and one of their biggest Milk Pan.
