Looking for a chill out place with friends but out of ideas? Fret not, I highly recommend you to 'The Hood'. You can call for reservations so that you'll be given the comfy cushion seats to enjoy it even more! You can also have a walk-in reservation (minus the comfy cushion seats thou ): ) which are what we did since it's our first time there.

We weren't expecting a live band there performing so it's was like a surprise when the band started coming up onto the stage and play some of the popular new songs! Plus you can like just tell them any song you want and they'll play it for you. Cool, isn't it? They are also some of the famous live bands formed in Singapore so it's like seeing a star performing right in front you.

The food there is also splendid, especially the jumbo sausage/hot-dog. It's like a 30cm long.(maybe I'm exaggerating but it's actually 10inch = 25cm?). Do try out the skewers and spaghetti too, no regrets since good food must be enjoyed at such a occasion with your buddies while hanging out!

There's also a crazy hood hour on Mon-Fri between 5pm - 8pm with a promotion of all beer pints on $10nett each and also applies to double shot wines and spirits with a standard mixer.
You can try their shots over there too, gin mix sprite, etc etc. There's also a list of liqueurs to choose from as your beverage if you don't want shots, and I really like some of it! (Can't really remember the name sorry ): )

Anyway but really, you all should give it a try, since a new experience in a new place always holds some good memories with friends and all too. Plus the staff there are friendly, since they'll talk to you and all (if you engage in conversing with them :p), making it all the more enjoyable and worthwhile!
