She is a filmmaker who received the Tiger Award from the 36th International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2007, New Currents Awards and Fipresci Award at the 11th Pusan International Film Festival in 2006 for her film Love Conquers All. In 2010, her filmYear Without a Summer was selected for the Asian Cinema Fund. She had also won prizes in Oberhausen Short Film Festival and Clermont-Ferrand Short film Festival.
