Hong Bao Run

Mediacorp has organized a new festive event that encourages contestants to run for the biggest hongbaos. It is conducted during the Chinese New Year period too. Winners of the race from each gender will attain $2888 in cold hard cash. The cash itself will be presented and provided within a packet of hangbao.

There'll also be a dress up contest within this event. Fellow contestants are encouraged to don anything that emanates the most festive spirit for Chinese New Year. Those who succeeds in cathcing the judges' eyes with their outfits could win Hong Baos that contains $888. The judges involved are celebrity DJs from renown local stations of all languages. They include Dzar Ismail from Ria 89.7FM, Jaynesh from Oli 96.8FM, 987FM's Vernon A and Justin Ang, Mike Kasem from Class 95FM and another DJ representing Y.E.S 93.3FM. Apart from being the judges for the Fancy Dress Contest, they're also going to run with fellow participants. Other celebrities like Joshua Tan and Felicia Chin are slated to run alongside everyone else too.

Additionally, there is a Grand Lucky Draw event. Every participant who registered for this Hang Bao run will have their names submitted for the Lucky Draw. 10 names will be drawn out to attain Hangbaos that contains $888. 3 other names will be drawn out for the mega Hangbao slot. The mega Hangbao slot is a Hangbao prize that contains a whopping amount of $88888 each. 

This event will be held at Nicoll Highway on the 9th of February 2014 with the total distance of 8KM. First male and female participants to cross the finish line for the Hangbao run will attain $2800 in cash. The runnerups for the male and female criteria will be given $1888 each whilst winners in the 3rd catagory will attain $888. All the prize money involved in this Hong Bao run are solely for participants who are either Singapore citizens or Permanent Residents.
