The hotel known simply as 'The E&O' to the locals as well as travellers has been around since 1885 and has survived two World Wars. The hotel has retained its rich history with restaurants named 1885 after the year it was established. Another restaurant was named The Sarkies Corner after the four Armenian brothers, the Sarkies who established the hotel which was once known as The Premier Hotel East of Suarez.
