You’ve probably been there, done that – gone on a vacation with your tots just to realise your “break” was less about relaxing and more about chasing after them. That’s why sometimes, it’s a good idea to spend time with kids on your home turf so you won’t have to slog through another diaper-strewn escapade.
If you find yourself staying close to home this month, a good place to turn it up with the kids would be the tokidoki summer party – Singapore Edition at Waterway Point. Happening from now till 3rd September 2023, the event features a giant inflatable playground, fun workshops, a tokidoki mascots meet and greet, and a whole lot of deals and steals.
Waterway Point’s The Plaza at Basement 1 is going to feature an enormous inflatable playground from now till 3rd September 2023.
In collaboration with tokidoki, the 3.95m-tall attraction boasts a blend of obstacle courses, slides, and blown-up sculptures that’ll make your child and inner child sing. Entry to the inflatable playground is free when you spend at least $30 at the mall in a single transaction and scan the FRx QR code.
Throughout the months of August and September, there’ll be tokidoki workshops kicking off at The Cove in Basement 2. Put your mad DIY skills to use by colouring A1 wrapping paper or designing a water bottle with stickers. These crafts will come in handy for kids who’d like some quiet playtime amidst the bouncy castle chaos.
Fans of Cactus and Donutella will get a chance to shake hands and rub shoulders with the characters at a tokidoki meet and greet. There’ll be 3 sessions each on selected days from now till 26th August, so don’t miss it.

For more freebies to bring home, simply spend at least $150 on 3 same-day transactions at participating stores. Then watch the kids go ooh and ahh over the free tokidoki reusable foldable bag.
To celebrate the nation’s 58th birthday, shoppers will also be able to snag a slew of deals on the app with 58 FRx Points*. We’re talking 20% discount at YAYOI Japanese Teishoku Restaurant and buy-1-get-1 Essence, Cream & Perfect Renew Retinol at Laneige.
While you’re there, keep an eye out for a spanking new Cocomi store. It’s known for selling chic watches from brands like Daniel Wellington and August Berg, and will make perfect gifts for your friends and fam. Or, treat yourself. You can never have too many watches.

If you’re looking to jump away for the last few weeks of summer, you may have found a place for it.
Besides the tokidoki fiesta, another fam-friendly event to look forward to is the UWeekly U Kids Cook Out. On 12th August, catch a cooking contest at Waterway Point, where parents and children will be picking out fresh produce to whip up local dishes in true Masterchef fashion.
With a long list of things to do right around the corner of your apartment, who said you gotta travel far to have fun with the young ones this summer szn.
