W Singapore Launches Communal Dining Menu With Local Favourites

About Kitchen Table

Kitchen Table is W Singapore’s all-day dining restaurant, helmed by Sydney native Matthew Woolford, who’s been with Starwood Hotels Since 2003. They usually serve up Western dominated buffets. But on 16 August and 20 September, The Kitchen Table will be hosting a unique social dining experience called “Get Together at The Chef’s Table”.

Yes, communal dining has come to W Singapore. And this menu will feature reinterpreted versions of Singaporean favourites for 9 pax only, on the third Saturday of the month – 16 of August and 20 of September.

The Menu At “The Chef’s Table”

Priced at $50++ per pax, the menu includes:

  • Alaskan Crabmeat Popiah
  • Slow Cooked Chicken Laksa
  • Wok Fried Cereal Prawns
  • Sambal Inspired Squid
  • Singaporean Chilli Crab, Fried Mantou
  • Stir Fried Water Spinach with Sambal
  • Oyster and Spring Onion Omelette

Here’s a look at some of the items on the menu.

When asked about the communal style of the menu, Chef Matthew Woolford said “Growing up in Australia, I enjoyed chatting to other diners at the next table and share our favourites. I would leave with the feeling that I have new memories to rediscover the taste of food I loved, “said “I want to share this and allow diners to experience food the way that I do, with the opportunity to interact with others.
