Valentine’s Day Make Up

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I thought I’d share a really quick and easy Valentine’s Day makeup look with the girls!

This look is very soft and romantic and would look great in the day or evening. I like that it’s also very subtle and versatile should you decide on a last minute change of clothing.

Face Makeup:

1. Start by applying a liquid foundation (I use a sponge applicator) all over your face.

2. Next, apply your eye concealer and blend seamlessly to the rest of your face. Careful not to apply too much or it might end up really cake-y.

3. Touch-up with a spot concealer on any spots or blemishes that you may have.

4. Set with a loose, matte translucent powder to keep your makeup lasting all day, and night.

Eye Makeup:

1. Start by highlighting your brow bone and the inner corners of your eyes with the lightest shimmery shade, ‘Filigree’.

2. Next, take ‘Pink Zinc’ and sweep this across the centre of your eye lids.

3. With ‘Guest List’, use a buffer and sweep it along the outer 1/2 of your socket line. Keep blending to soften any harsh lines. (If you prefer a more intense look, just add on and keep blending till you achieve that desired smokey effect.)

4. Then, line your eyes with a black liquid liner (it’s more lasting and doesn’t smudge!) and apply your favourite waterproof mascara.

     5.   Finally, line your water line with a rose gold eye liner. This will instantly widen and brighten up
           your eyes to make them look sparkly.

To end off, I finish with a sweet, rosy blusher on my cheeks and a pink-ish lip tint for that natural, feminine glow. I’d suggest using a light-coloured lip tint or moisturising lipstick that’s going to be more convenient and easy to touch-up when you’re out on your big date!
