Perhaps it might be the rush to have your place spruced up before a family gathering, or the exhausting routine of home maintenance. But if you ever find yourself wanting help for house chores, Urban Company, with its extensive and convenient cleaning services, might be the answer you’re looking for.
Covering a wide scope of cleaning and home maintenance services, alongside highly flexible plans, this 10-year veteran in the industry promises to be a relief for those who dread the tedium of home-care.
Urban Company offers various routine cleaning service subscriptions, such as the 3-hour weekly service which runs for $59, working out to be roughly $19/hr. They pride themselves on their transparent pricing model, with their website giving a clear breakdown of what chores will be covered, as well as the expected time allocation for the tasks that the cleaners will do.
Another benefit to their regular home cleaning subscription is that you won’t get blindsided by hidden charges. For example, unlike some other cleaning companies, Urban Company does not tack festive surcharges onto their services during the holidays.
And if you’re wondering, Urban Company’s cleaning professionals bring a comprehensive set of equipment with them, including a vacuum cleaner, steam mops, and various cleaning solutions to tackle different needs.
From now till 31st December 2027, use the promo code <THESMARTLOCAL> to get 4 x $5 off discounts (min. spend $38 each) for weekly or fortnightly sessions across their Part-Time Cleaning and Premium Helper services.
You can also use Urban Company’s services on a more ad-hoc basis, such as when you’re preparing your home for special occasions. This service can be purchased on a session-to-session basis, but you can also buy multi-session packs for up to 20% savings.
Their flexibility is evident here, with the ability for you to define which parts of the home you’d like cleaned, or customise your own packages and even request for a particular cleaning staff if you’ve had a pleasant experience with them. The 6-pack 3-hour flexible service package will set you back by about $66 per session.
Urban Company is also providing a new all-in-one live-out helper service, which covers chores more akin to what you’d expect from domestic helpers.
Beyond just home cleaning, this service will also involve chores like car washing, laundry, and even dog-walking. Food prep and cooking can be done by the helper too, since they’re Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ)-certified for food safety and hygiene.
This can be done as a one-off service, or up to 5 times a week which is especially useful for those with elderly parents who aren’t receptive to the idea of a live-in helper. It’s also great for folks who value their privacy, but still want to get help to settle chores so they can dedicate more time and energy to bigger things in life.
Urban Company promises that its helpers are highly professional, with their intensive 200 hours of vetting and training regimen run by head housekeepers from 5-star hotels, so you are in good hands.
If you’d want help getting your home prepared for when the relatives come over, or prefer to spend more time with your family, perhaps consider looking to Urban Company’s services for some extra help. Simply download the Urban Company app on iOS or Android to get started.
